Damn... I had missed her. Just spending a little time with her could make me feel so hype.

To be honest, I seriously thought she wouldn't want to have anything to do with me. She had all damn reasons in the world to hate my guts... Name one, she would have been right. But no... She didn't. She just seemed glad to see me. She gave me that smile, the honest one, and truthfully, I loved that.

So naturally, I wanted to kill Jeremiah for not forgetting about that game in the park I definitely had no wish to remember. I finally had a shot at spending a little time with her. But seems like the timing was never right.

At least, I got her phone number... And another shot set for the day after. I made sure my whole schedule was clear so I wouldn't have to ruin my occasion this time.

Occasion for what though? I had no idea. But ever since she showed up at Mike's, I felt like I wanted to see her again. And after that day at the bar on the east side, I wanted to see her again... Just a no brainer. I wanted to see her... No deep meaning behind that thought.

I mean... She was the first and only girl I fell in love until then. How more normal than caring for her and her happiness? How more normal than wanting to see her sometimes, avec 5 years of withdrawal?

I told her to meet me at that Southern BBQ place located just a block from my place. Food was OK, but their drinks were the best in Manhattan.

She arrived, looking all pretty, even without pulling no major effort. She was just wearing a pair of light blue jeans with grey converses and a tight long sleeves black shirt. Her hair was left down and were obviously all messed up because of the wind, but it gave her an even more sexy look. She almost had no make up on... Just a little bit of black mascara that made her beautiful hazelnut eyes stand out even more and a pale pink touch of lipstick, which was enough to make her lips looking all plumped.

Can't say I was not attracted to that woman. Ever since the day I noticed her charms, they were the only thing I could see every time I looked at her. And she was always the most beautiful woman in the room to me. No matter what she was wearing, I always felt that sort of pinch inside every time she was around.

"Sorry" she said while sitting next to me at the bar, panting. "I guess I left my place a little too late"

"No worries" I smiled, amused at the thought she must have been running to here. "You alright? You look like you fought an army"

"My army is the wind outside. And trust me, it's very hostile"

"Yeah... I can tell" I laughed

"How was your play date with Jeremiah?" She asked while trying to put her air back in order.

"Play date? Be careful to what you're saying young lady... Nah... Just a game... You know?"

"I haven't met him in a year... How messed up is that?"

"How come?" I asked, a little surprised.

"Ah... I don't know..." She sighed. "I used to see them all the time and then I guess I got busy with my job... I was mainly working at night... So I just saw them less often... It's just a couple of years after that I met Mike and Janelle by chance. And then I started to see them more often... And Jeremiah, well... Since he shows up at Mike's parties and that I can sometimes go, last time I saw him was last year"

I wondered if it really happened like that... If her job was the only reason why she suddenly stopped seeing them. Mike, when he visited me in L.A., once told me that she was rarely showing up anymore. He never said why but I had my idea on the question. Just like why she left school...
