I can't forget the pain I feel when I look in your eyes, you see?

How when I turned away from you, you'd make a fuss.
I see you're happy now with someone new.
Does she know the things you used to do?
She looks like me, it's in her smile.
I know you've been with her for quite a while.
Two months longer than us and still going strong.
Surprised you two have lasted that long..
I loved and cared for you with all my heart,
But all you ever did was tear me apart.
How could you do that?
Hit me in the heart with a metal bat?
You said you loved me so why all the lies?
Why so much pain when I look in your eyes?
Why the nightmares and painful days
Where I feel that I'm stuck in a haze
And all I can do is remember you
And everything we had so true
Until the day I escaped your grasp and saw someone good
Who showed me things you never would.
Honestly, I still feel love when I see your face
But all these scars can't be erased..
Sometimes I wish I could just die
So I don't have to live another day with this smile of a lie.
