Poem 18

She hurts, she breaks, she hides

The girl who wants to die

The depression sinks in again

She grabs the blade, "Will this ever end?"

"Yes! We're here!" Her friends say

But the depression is back another day

"We will always be here!"

The girl feels alone, nobody's near

Running off, she begins to cry

The girl decides to die

On her way, she grabs a knife

This girl is off to end her life

"Goodbye, my helpful friends!"

"I'm sorry I met such a sorrowful end"

"But the pain, it was just too much"

The girl had finally had enough

"I love you! Thank you for being there!

I know you think that it's unfair

But I'm hurting, I'm in pain

I truly have nothing left to gain

And to the boy who owned my heart

I've loved you from the start, I hope this doesn't tear you apart

But when you miss me, look at the sunset

And know that your story isn't over yet

But mine is done, it's over now

I made it this far, heaven knows how

To those I hurt, I regret it all

This is the end, now I fall"

She takes the knife, it's at her throat

In her hand is her suicide note

Tears streaming down her face,

She's a memory, soon to be erased

The knife has fallen, she's on the floor

The girl who wanted to die, is alive no more
