You and I met our final end

As sad as it is to say, I wouldn't dare call you a friend

What we had before was amazing and good

But things didn't end the way they should

We had our issues back in May

But I still promised to love you forever and a day

But then I woke up, saw you for what you are

You're a parasite, I'm amazed we made it this far

Forcefully taking any energy I had

Then when we argued, you acted like I was bad

It takes 2 to make a family and 2 to break it

We weren't friends, you just liked to fake it

But I was still truly there for you, to the very last minute

But friendship turned to war, and you were determined to win it

But I grew tired, I couldn't keep going

But you persisted, your true colors showing

You were the victim, I the guilty one

You acted like our friendship was a game and you were having fun

Our talks grew shorter, our hatred going stronger

Until the day I couldn't take it any longer

I cursed your name

And cried for a friendship that died in vain

But as the sun rises and sets with each passing day

I knew I'd move on and I'd be okay

So here I am, just a week later, closing this chapter

On the part of my story that I truly hoped would end in happily ever after
