Secrets secrets are no fun

If they're not shared with everyone

But some secrets will sound off an alarm

And do less good than they will harm

Some secrets should stay locked away

Never to be spoken of, to one's dismay

Beg and plead, it won't be told

This isn't a part of the story that will unfold

I do this for you, you just don't see

"No it won't" You promise, "You can't hurt me"

That's what you think, not what you know

But my dear, this is something of which you should let go

I know which buttons to push if I want to hurt you

As scary as that is, it's all too true

This secret I hold, it'll destroy us

It's not a matter of distrust

We've argued this too many times before

I refuse to open this fucking door

This secret isn't worth a friendship

If this comes out, we'll never mend it

We've been working on fixing things up

But with this out, it'll be way too tough

It's better if it doesn't come out

No matter how much you shun or you pout

If this comes out, we'll never be the same

Our friendship isn't a damn game

You can't lose and start over again

If this comes out, we'll never be friends

You need to understand why I do this

I know our friendship has been all but bliss

But you shouldn't push for this, please just don't

It will hurt you, even if you say it won't

I love you, I'm not arguing this from this point on

If this argument is a game, then consider it done
