~Dedicated to a friend whose favorite butterflies are flying for another girl now... So here's to you.~

I don't even know what to say....

But this poem is about butterflies that flew far away

I'm a writer, so I guess I'll just tell a story through some rhymes

Stories of peace and better times

The story that will go first is the one of "Missy"

In which a bird named Michael met an angel named Chrissy

It was quite a while before this became an LDR

But when it ended, who knew they'd fall so far?

They were friends and Chrissy always had a crush

But when she learned Michael felt it too, she turned to absolute mush

Missy, we called it and shipped it all the way

But now Chrissy's looking for the sun on a rainy day

It was a roller coaster than only goes up

A story of whimsy and fun and luff

Hell, as we told it, they were destined to be wed!

And you can imagine her shock when Oshy came back from vacation to find her ship dead

"I will always love you" They promised each other

But now they've both found another

Now Missy is no longer a thing

From Michael, Chrissy will not get the diamond ring

They had gone their separate ways

Each growing stronger in the passing days

Michael had found a girl he could touch, kiss, and hold

That part of Chrissy's heart had grown bitterly cold

She was torn and broken, beaten down and battered

She felt like everything no longer mattered

Until, Chrissy came across her long time friend

The sparks flew and she wanted to try things again

She gave it a chance and things are going fantastic

Though parts of her heart, still cold and sore, are no longer elastic
