Hey, I see the fake smile plastered on your face

I know you have memories you're desperately trying to erase

I know you're hiding all of your pain

I know you think by telling people, there's nothing to gain

I know you're hurting and I know you're trying your best

To pass every one of life's grueling tests

I know you feel broken, I know your heart is defeated

You've been shattered, ruined, terribly mistreated

But I want you to know that it's not all in vain

There is something for you to gain

I want you to know that I think you're strong

And I hope our friendship lasts really long

But you can't give up, not ever

Keep conquering future endeavors

And if you ever need a hand dealing with it all

I'm one text away to make sure you don't fall

I'll hold your hand and make sure you get through it

Even if it feels like endless shit

Just say the word, say them all, vent to me

Give me a chance and you will see

See that I'm small, and I'm shy, and I'm a little hard to talk to

But there's a lot I have to offer you

I can relate to a lot

And even if I say I can not

I will try to understand how you feel and find a way to make you smile

Even if it's been a very long while

I'll try to get out a laugh if I can

If you're Lois Lane, I'll play Superman

I'm only one small text away

I don't care if it's Christmas day

Shine the Bat signal and I'll be there in a jiffy

When things are terrible, horrible, or even just iffy

Need a little extra strength, I can send you tons

And even when you're happy, my job will never be done

This is getting a little long so let me just say I love you

And I'll be here to make sure you get through

Whether it's strict parents or a broken heart

I'll be there, the way I've been from the start
