Poem 43

~I wrote this over a month ago, I just never got around to publishing it. But this one goes out to one of my longest standing and most loyal friends. She and I have been to hell and back but even when she's mad at me, whenever I need a hand, she's not afraid to lend it. So this one goes out to my beautiful, incredible friend Amna.~

We've been friends for a year

Met people far, met people near

We laughed, we cried, we lived, we died

We told each other what we feel inside

We loved, we broke, we made a fam

Things that made me who I am

We spoke all day and through the nights

Even had our fair share of little fights

But no matter what happened, we always found ways

To make our friendship last throughout the days

365 days later and here we are

Surprised we even made it this far

But let me be the first to say happy friendaversary

To my dearest Amna, who means the world to me

One year down, may there be many more

Because a life without you makes my heart sore

I can't wait for the day we meet in real life

And end all of our pain and strife

We'll hug and we'll laugh and go to a bar

And say cheers to who we are

We'll smile and and go crazy as we have fun

Because we'll know in our hearts that this is a battle we've won

And our friendship will never be done
