Chapter Seven

CHAPTER SEVEN

{JANICE POV}


SHE KNEW HOW MUCH I LIKED HIM.

I was upstairs for a little over an hour because I had to shower and get ready all over again, but I didn't think this would happen.

I couldn't believe it. I couldn't see anything outside. Everything was so blurry because of the tears in my eyes.

I took off my heels and ran down the street, I jumped when I heard someone honk from behind. I was walking in the middle of the street and I didn't notice. I walked onto the sidewalk and ran home.

When I got to my apartment I struggled to unlock the door because the anger was taking over me. I dropped my keys and bent over to pick them up.

I guess my next door neighbor, Sonia, head me fumbling with the door and came out to ask me what was all the ruckus.

Me and Sonia talked often, we were pretty good friends.

She saw me crying and asked what was wrong. I still hadn't opened the door, she took the keys from my hand and unlocked it and opened it for me. I calmed down a little bit.

"Can I come in?" She asked.

I nodded my head.

I closed the door and locked it.

"Do you want to tell me what happened? You look really upset."

"Yeah, but just let me go change really quick. You can make some tea if you'd like."

"Okay then."

I walked past her into the hallway and into my room. I went to the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror and cried for a while. After a bit, I washed my face and changed into sweats and a hoodie.

What was supposed to be a fun night of dancing, laughing, partying, and having a great time turned into my worst nightmare. I still couldn't believe it.

I had been looking forward to tonight the whole week and my entire night was ruined in a matter of seconds.

I pulled up my hair into a ponytail as I walked back into the living room. Sonia was in the kitchen pouring the tea into mugs. I sat down at the table.

"Thank you so much Sonia, tea is just what I need to help calm me down right now."

"Are you going to tell me what happened now?"

"Yeah. Just give me a minute to calm myself a little more."
