CHAPTER THIRTY THREE
JANICE POV
I turned off the water and stepped out. After I was done changing I walked out of the bathroom with the towel in my hair. I took it off and rubbed my hair between it to dry it.
"What do you want to eat?" I asked Niall as I laid out the towel to dry.
He took his eyes off the TV for a second and looked at me.
"Um.. I don't care, whatever you want is good."
"Do you like pancakes?"
"Is that even a question?"
"Alrighty then, coming up."
I brought out the mix and began to cook. When I was done, I poured milk into cups, got the syrup out of the cupboard, and brought out plates.
I carried everything to the coffee table in the middle of the living room.
"That looks really good"
He grabbed one and took a bite.
"Wow these are delicious, you're a great cook!"
"Thanks" I laughed.
He was resting his whole body on the couch so I sat next to him on the floor.
I felt him looking at me every time I would look up, he'd be staring at me.
"Why do you keep looking at me like that?"
"I don't know.. There's just something about you. I feel like I know you, but in a way more than friends. I don't know. I'm just trying to figure out who you are or why I feel like something happened with us?"
"Oh. Don't worry, you'll regain your memory soon."
"I hope so."
We continued to talk about anything that popped itself into the conversation while watching TV and eating. The whole time were laughing.
It was as if I had gotten a second chance to redo our first time meeting each other. I wasn't the same awkward girl, I was more confident with him now. We were both enjoying our time together.
We were watching a show on the TV, I'm not too sure what it was. I thought I heard something but I figured it was the TV. Then I heard the noise again.
"Turn it down really quick."
I heard someone outside. I got up and walked over to the door. I looked through the window but it was a bit hard to see who it was. I opened the door and walked out into the hall..
