CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

JANICE POV
I paced back and forth across the room. Then I remembered I had brought my laptop, and a couple of books. I went to the window and got them out of my bag.
I was about to start a new book, I opened it up and began to read. I was about to go to chapter 2 when I heard a knock on the door.
Sonia walked in and greeted me quietly.
"Hi Sonia! Thank goodness you're here! I started reading a book because I was so bored haha."
"I brought the crackers!"
"Thanks a lot. I went to get food earlier but I'm still not in the mood to eat any of it. But these crackers should help me out."
We both sat down an began to talk.
"So how's he doing?"
"He's fine, the nurse came to check up on him a while ago."
"That's good, are the guys going to come visit?"
"Soon. I told them to come by the day after tomorrow if he hasn't woken up."
"Oh, and what about Leslie? Any sign of her?"
"Nope. I haven't called her actually .. Want to call her now?"
"Lets do it."
I grabbed my phone and scrolled through my contacts. I clicked on hers and waited for it to start ringing. It rang and rang, then it went to voicemail.
I stood up.
"Leslie, where the F*CK are you?! Your damn boyfriend is in the hospital and you're f*cking hiking with your friends .." I hung up.
"Woah, you alright?" Leslie asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, sorry. I'm just so frustrated right now."
I sat back down and we continued to talk.
The nurse came in again in the afternoon to check on him. We stepped out and went to get some lunch, this time I actually ate.
We went outside of the hospital for food though, I was in the mood for some chicken.
We got back and sat down. We went on my laptop, thankfully there was wifi in our room. We looked up videos to cheer us up and stuff.
It started to get late and Sonia had to go because she was going somewhere early tomorrow.
So I walked her to the front and said goodbye.
When I came back to my room I layed down on the bed and read my book till I fell asleep.
