Chapter 6- and Burn!

[Lisa P.O.V]

I need to know what he is about to say. I mean I've been waiting for him to propose to me for a few months now. Is he going to wait for another two years?

I raise my eyebrow. He wasn't answering. I put my hand on top of his and ask him again.

"Shane, do you want to get married... to me?"

[Shane P.O.V]

She asked me again.

Here it goes.

My heart starts racing. This answer would change everything.

I take a deep breath and look into her eyes. Her beautiful soft blue eyes. I look straight at her face and say:

.....

.....

"No."

She looks the other way. I did not want to see her cry but I knew that this was neccessary. I knew she was heartbroken and confused. Believe me I was too. But after last night and everything. This wasn't right. It was over. And I knew it.

"I'm sorry Lisa. But I can't."

"Even after everything? A girl can't make one mistake huh?"

"Lisa, you're a great person but things have not been going right for a while now. You know that. It's been bumpy and maybe this isn't meant to be."

She started crying. I feel bad but then again I don't. This no longer was a relationship. And in my heart I knew that.

"You suck okay! I loved you for 2 fricken years Shane! Gave you everything! And you dump me because I made one mistake! That you and your stupid ass bestfriend made me do!"

She was yelling. People turned their heads and stared. The waiter comes over. Great.

"Um miss is everything, alright?"

Lisa looks at him.

"Yeah. I'm sorry for the noise."

He nods and walks away.

Lisa gets up and gives me a death stare.

"I'll be in the car."

She leaves and the waiter gives me the check.

It came out to $95.25. I slid the money in the check and walked out.

This was going to be a LONG car ride back.

I open the door to the driver's seat and see Lisa looking the other way.

Sigh.

"Do you want to talk about this?"

"No."

"Fine."

I start driving and then 10 minutes later Lisa starts talking.

"Can we just take a break. I don't want to break-up with you. How about in 2 weeks I'll give you a call and we can talk this through again. I think your making a big mistake here."

I think it through. 2 weeks.

"Okay. Fine. 2 weeks. But no communication and no talking to our viewers about this!"

"Fine. But your going to have to leave."

"Why me?"

"Because. Your mom lives close enough and my parents live further! And besides I have more stuff!"

"Fine..."

We get back to the apartment 10 minutes later and I open the door and walk upstairs. Corny follows me to the bedroom where I grab some clothes and my straightner. I look at him. I wouldn't see him for 2 weeks. Ah. I pat his head and walk downstairs. I walk in and see Lisa is on the phone.

"Hold on one second...What?" She asks me.

"Can I uh, take Corny with me?"

"Um no! There's like a hundred dogs at your mom's house you'll be fine..."

"No. I want Corny. That's not fair. I have to leave I should be able to take her."

"No! She's half of mine! Shane come on this is ridiculous!"

"We'll I'm taking her."

"Ugh fine!"

I run and grab Corny and walk to my car.

So crazy how one word can change everything.

"No". A two letter word that brought me here tonight.

Off to my mom's!

[Joey P.O.V]

Today went by so fast. I hung out with Megan, Luke and Sawyer all day. Even after what Luke had told me earlier. We went out to lunch and went to this really awesome museum. I got home at around 7 p.m. And heated up some Chicken or should I say Chicken-Anya!

I bring it into the computer room and do a lot of editing. I finish the vlog for tomorrows post and by the time I finish that I'm done with my food. I bring it into the kitchen and clean the dish and go into my room.

I haven't talked to Shane all day. Hm. Wonder how he's doing. I mean after a day like yesterday I should check on him.

I call his cell phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Shane!"

"Hey Joey! How are you?"

Why is he asking about me? I should be asking him that! Shane was such a sweet guy.

"I'm good. How are you?"

"Eh.. a lot of shit had been going on."

"Aw I'm sorry Shane. I feel so horrible about what happened."

"Yeah.. It sucks but thanks for helping me out yesterday."

I smile, "Hey what are friends for?"

"Joey you're my bestfriend."

"Aw Shane I love you!"

What.

Did.

I do...

"Like as a friend, HA!" I say fast trying to save it.

"HAHA I love you too Joey!"

"Hey Joey I gotta go. I'm uh- at my mom's right now I'll see you tomorrow."

"Oh okay! Tell your mom I say Hi! Bye Shane!"

"Bye Joey!"

I hang up.

I should not tell him I really liked him now. I mean he just saw his girlfriend cheat on him. I'd just confuse him even more. I'll wait until I know it's right.

But seriously who knows when it's the right time to tell someone you loved them.
