Chapter 28- We’re the Same.
[Shane P.O.V]
Today was the day!
I had everything packed and ready to go for our Boston trip.
Joey was so overly excited and I was extremely nervous.
I’ve never actually met his family before and I honestly had no idea if they were even going to like me. Or the idea that I was dating their son…
It was nerve wracking but I needed to show no fear. I knew this was what I wanted.
“Do you need me to pack you a toothbrush Shane?”
“Ha, no. I can just use my finger.”
He shakes his head and laughs, “You’re gross.”
“Joey do you know how little I even brush my teeth.”
He sticks his tongue out. “Ew! Stop don’t tell me that! I kissed you this morning!”
I can’t stop laughing. “Fine…pack me one.”
“Okay…that’s all I needed to know.”
I get a phone call that I’ve been waiting for all day.
[Joey P.O.V]
“Hey…okay awesome…thank you so much. Yeah I’ll be there later today… like late tonight...”
Who was he talking to?
“Okay bye.”
He looks up and sees me standing there.
“Who were you talking to?”
“Oh...My old friend from high school. He moved out to Boston after we graduated.”
“Oh cool! Well I’m so excited!”
He smiles, “I know I can tell.”
“The flights at one right?”
“Yeah. And since it’s nine now we should leave in an hour.”
“Or now because I want to say bye to Sawyer.”
“Okay let’s go!”
When we get to Sawyer’s house we also see Luke there.
“Hey guys!”
“Hey what are you doing here Luke?”
“Sawyer asked me to come over.”
“Yeah…I was also going to ask you guys over too but I thought you left already.”
“Nope not until one.”
“Oh well…I uh- found something out.”
“What?!”
“Well…Jaclyn was apparently helping Mike out with something…to hurt us… but I stopped her in time. Mike wanted to plan this party and then take Joey and fly away to like Florida or something.”
