Chapter 36- Plan B.
[Joey P.O.V]
I was literally frozen in my seat. Never had I seen so many people in this room. Something wasn’t right. Obviously.
But I couldn’t move. I didn’t feel the need to move. He was dead.
I knew it because I’ve seen it before, you know in movies when there’s a bunch of people standing around a patients bed, and then the priest comes in…
I look down. Good thing they hadn’t seen that I woke up. Maybe if I slipped out of the room I could run. Run away. Far away.
I wasn’t going to live without Shane.
I felt like I was still sleeping. Nothing made sense. It was MY fault we even fought in the first place back at Boston. It was all my damn fault…
I stand up. Right as I stand up I hear a gasp.
I quickly run over to the bed.
“He’s…He’s alive.!”
[Teresa P.O.V]
“So what was the plan ride here like?” I ask Melissa.
“It was good. Really long.”
“Yeah…I bet it was.” I respond.
She looks out the window and turns back at me.
“I’m- I’m really sorry ‘bout Shane.”
I instantly feel the chills. My poor son. And poor Joey…
“I really hope he’s okay..”
“Me too sweetheart me too.”
“Do you know where Shane was going, when…you know…”
“No I don’t honey. I have no idea…If it was my guess it would probably be to shoot a video or something like that.”
“Maybe…”
“Do you know something, about what happened?” I ask her.
“Um…well. Joey said something to me about them getting in an argument back at Boston..”
“Do you think…that this was meant to happen?”
“I’m, I’m not sure.”
I think about it for a minute. Something like this doesn’t just happen… I mean from what the doctor’s said, Shane got into the same accident that I had as well. About a month later…
Somebody must have been trying to mess with him, and Joey. But who…?
I hear my cell phone going off.
“Hello?”
“Yes. Teresa?”
“Yes! Who’s calling?”
“It’s Shane’s doctor. He woke up about an hour ago.”
“Oh my gosh! I’m on my way!”
Melissa puts down her coloring book and we run to the car.
[Author P.O.V]
It was a perfect meeting spot. Just where the three “criminals” needed to meet. The perfect opportunity to discuss, “Plan B.”
But why? Hadn’t Shane and Joey been through enough. That’s what you’d think.
“I can’t believe it. It actually worked.”
“I know!”
“How long has he been in the hospital?”
“At least two days now. He can’t be ‘sleeping’ forever.”
The three discussed their excitement and what great things would come from the tragic “accident” actually being a success…
“I’m really glad you decided to join us. You’re a great member to the group,” Mike said.
(yep that’s right Mike is back (sorry:P))
“Thanks guys. I’m really happy that I can finally contribute to, something!”
“Yes. You’ll be a great help. For both of us. Thank you.” The other member says.
“Okay. Well this has been a success. We’ll meet again tomorrow. Bring in more details and stuff. Be sure to contact Joey okay? Mike asks one of the members.
“Absolutely. I’m on it.”
“Okay. Have a nice day. Bye.” Mike says and leaves the small abandoned building.
The three cars all leave to parking lot. Two of them going back home, but one of them took a sharp right turn. Towards the hospital.
“I’m coming Joey.” The most recent member of the group says and smiles.
Their car had been completely wrecked. But not because of an accident where they accidently hit another car or another car accidently hit them. But because of one they caused. On purpose
For Shane.
How else do you think they get to be a part of Plan B?
