Expansion of sound waves, travelling through the air, bouncing off walls until they reach their destination, preferabely another person's ear in order to transmit information. Usually they didn't travel much further than to thebrain, objectifying everything caused by a monotonous speech.Sometimes though there was an exception. When words wriggle their waydown , passing those unmoving limps until they rest and sink into theonly living organ, sometimes whole, sometimes shattered: the heart. It doesn't happen often that a person can be able to touch someone by only delivering words. It's rare to connect not only through thoughts but also by heart. Those angelic low notes, oscillating in the air, forming syllables and finally phrases with actual meanings calmed Avi down, his heart beat decelerated, causing him to breathe calmer. It seemed like he was one with himself, in pure peace and silence, his mind and body combined. But this appearance was deceptive. Nothing under his pale skin was in order. Everything was out of control but his body had no energy left to fight. There was nothing left for Avi than to lay there, lifeless, as he listened to Tim's voice, soothing his pain. Soon the song reached its bridge, a climax in each song, showing what the artist truly felt while writing this particular masterpiece. Avi's mind, which has been blank throughout half of the song, started to wander in a direction he had always tried to block out. With every passing verse another memory flashed before his very eyes, he couldn't tell if it was reality or an actuality. Like a film, getting faster by the second, making his head ache again. The song ended, silence fell upon them but Avi's mind screamed in agony to break free.

"No!"

One quick movement later and he teared apart those invisible shackles around his body, which held him down for the entire song. His voice was raspy and broken, reflecting his mental state. He hated himself for not being good enough, comparing his only gift to sing with Tim's. Not even that was good enough anymore. Avi was useless, he stated for the hundredth time. His chest fell and rose in order to get oxygen into his body. Tim saw the man but detected a broken soul instantly. Nothing could heal him anymore, that's what people would say. How can you piece together a heart when nearly every single building block, such as confidence, trust, happiness and secureness were shattered all over the place? You can't. But Tim was willing to try and help Avi. He himself had lost a loved one a few years ago, he knew how much support people needed in order to heal and find closure. Alone, was not the answer.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

He asked calmly, keeping his gaze glued to the bearded man. His green eyes were wide in shock, scanning the ground as he seemed to sort his thoughts, an impossible task. Avi had no answer to that question. How far was he willing to go? He barely knew Tim and not even Esther knew about everything that had happened. This could be both good and bad. On the one hand he could pour his heart out without being judged and yelled at, but..on the other hand Tim could throw him onto the cold streets, demanding him to never come back. Avi had nowhere to go, this was his only hold right now.

"I..I d-don't k-k-know..."

Talking could make everything better but still he was unsure about it. Esther never let him talk, tried to reason him causing him to get lost in his own thoughts. His band mates, pitied him for a few days, but pity wasn't something he needed. He needed a shoulder to cry on, a person he could tell what he was truly feeling although he was not so sure about what it was either. His thoughts mixed with his emotions created a spiral of bad memories and triggering pictures. If he talked to Tim, he might fall into the dark hole again but this time he wouldn't be able to crawl out of it , he was too weak. Tim stood up, moving towards the scared and distracted smaller man, taking his hands and placing them over his own chest.

"Feel that?"

A steady heart beat, no signs of any damage. The way a normal and ,especially, a healthy heart should be. Avi's hands lingered on Tim's chest, feeling the beating against his palm and breathed out heavily. His eyes started to water, thoughts running through his mind, remembering the former song and the rude comments about him not being good enough. Why? Why was Tim the only one seeing that he was in fact not okay and needed help? Why was he the only one realizing that he couldn't smile because he wasn't happy? Why could a stranger and not even his closest friend detect his sadness?

"We will make yours whole again."
