Chapter 12: Slurred Conversation

-Monae POV-

I'm like wasted and faded all together, but I don't give a fuck about anything right now. I know my mom gonna be pissed at me but I don't even care right now. Right now I'm focused on this slurred conversation I'm having with my long time crush, JoJo.

JoJo is the middle of some story but I'm not really paying any attention to it. I heard the door open but I didn't bother to pay attention to who came in.

"Monae" I heard a familiar voice say.

"Monae" it said getting closer.

"God" I asked and the person laughed.

"Trust me God would not wanna see you lookin' like this" she said. 

"Sanah" I said trying to get her name out.

"Savannah yeah" she said trying to help me up.

"Why am I moovving" I said.

"Because I'm moving you" she said.

"Oh" I said.

"JoJo I'll be back for you" she said as we left the room.

"Need help" I heard someone say but the person sounded so far away.

"Yes please" I heard Savannah say.

I felt myself being lifted and going down something like stairs.

"I'm going to get JoJo" I heard Savannah yell and I gave thumbs up. . . I think.

When we got downstairs I felt the person put me down on something soft.

"Oh this is so soft" I said rubbing the material.

"Monae" someone else called my name.

"Mary" I said.

"No bitch it ain't Mary. Its Jade" she said and I laughed.

"Mary Jade is a funny name" I said laughing and clapping.

The couch went down on the other side.

"Nae" Chloe said.

"Loe" I said as we drunkenly hugged each other.

"Aight lets bounce" Savannah said.

I felt myself being lifted up again and I was moving again. I can not feel shit in my legs and I have to go to school in the morning. I felt the cool breeze against my face and it felt real good too. I was put into the car and I saw Savannah put my seatbelt on for me.

"ICoulaDonIt" I said all together and slurred.

"That sentence didn't even make any sense" she said.

"Bye" I said pushing her face out of the car. She slammed the door close and walked around the car. Before she even got into the car I could feel myself slowly going to sleep.

"Man these two don't need to go to another party" Jade said.

"For real but they their parent's problem when we drop them at they crib" Savannah said starting the car.

"Are you good to drive" Jade asked.

"Yeah I'm good" she said pulling off down the block.

*20 Mins Later*

The car came to a halt and I woke up from my nap.

"My head" I said rubbing my forehead.

"If you think it hurts now" Jade said shaking her head.

"Wait until tomorrow Monae, your gonna have a bangin' headache" Savannah said turning the engine off.

I heard snores coming from Chloe.

"No school tomorrow" I said trying to take my seatbelt off as Jade got out of the car.

"Your moms is gonna make you go" Savannah said.

I felt Jade pull me out of the car before I could reply back to Savannah. I heard the door slam close and Jade put my arm around her shoulder.

"Alright walk slowly and please don't fall" she said as we walked towards my house.

I dropped my head down trying to block out the lights. We made it up the stairs and Jade was feeling all up on me.

"Why you tou- touching me" I stuttered.

"I'm looking for your keys" she said slightly annoyed while trying to hold me up.

She found them and placed the key into the lock and unlocked the door. We walked into the house and she gently closed the door.

"Is ya moms home" she asked.

"What time" I asked her rubbing my head again.

"Ten-Twenty" she replied checking the clock as we walked up the stairs to my room.

"Ten minutes home" I said.

I can't even get straight sentences out and everything is going dark. We finally made it into my room and she walked me over to my bed. She took my arm off of her shoulder and put me to lie down on my bed.

"I'm gonna go get you somethin' for the morning" she said putting her hands on her hips.

"Aight" I said adjusting myself on the bed as she left the room.

I closed my eyes and I'm grateful that it's dark in here beside the moonlight shinning through the curtains.

"Well the stuff is on the nightstand for tomorrow" Jade said.

"Thanks" I said turning my back to her.

"Want the window open? It's kind of hot in here" she said walking over to the window but I didn't respond.

"I'll take that as a yes" she mumbled opening the window. I heard her foot steps walking over to the door.

"Good night sleepy head!" she said closing the door and I automatically fell asleep.
