~ Emma ~

I saw him smirk at me and I knew what he was thinking. He wanted to make out with me, I saw it in his eyes.
I stepped back but felt the cold wall hit my back. I froze and saw him step closer.

"Back off!" I yelled.

He chuckled to himself and stepped closer. I closed my eyes as I felt his breath on my face. I prayed that he would stop, but chances were that he wasn't.

I began to let some tears roll down my cheeks. Then, I felt his presence disappear. I heard shouting but I did not want to open my eyes.

"Run! Come on, we gotta go!" I heard a guy yell. I shook my head but they put their hands on my shoulders.

"You need to leave! Open your eyes!". I decided to open my eyes.

They fluttered open and revealed a man with brown hair and brown eyes.

He smiled, "We need to go before he wakes up".

I nodded and followed him through the dark alleys of the city. We stopped after a while of running to catch our breath. I leaned against the hard brick wall of the building. I looked over at the man who was standing in front of me looking up with his eyes closed.

"Why?" I asked still trying to catch my breath.

He looked down at me, "Why what?". I sighed, "Why did you help me?".

"And let that man...you know" he said slowly stopping.

I nodded, "Why help me? You don't even know me".

He shrugged, "Yeah, but I don't think anyone should be mistreated, especially in the way he intended".

I smiled, "Thank you".

He shrugged, "No problem". I looked around the corner of the building. "August W. Booth".

I turned back over to him, "What?".

He laughed, "It's my name".

I smiled, "Oh...I'm Emma, Emma Swan".

He smiled, "Nice to meet you". I smiled and shook his hand.

I sat up and screamed. I looked around my room and tried to catch my breath. It was just a bad dream, it was just a nightmare. Well, not exactly.
It was more of a bad memory. I sighed and looked over at the clock. 5:37am.

I sighed and fell back down. I had recurring memories of August. I was used to this by now. I dragged myself out of bed and went into the kitchen of my small apartment.

It wasn't a fancy apartment, it was actually pretty crappy. But I could afford it and that was enough for me.

I got a glass of water and sat down on the old couch in my living room. I slowly sipped it.

I thought about my dream and stared into the darkness of the room.
He saved me, but I couldn't save him.

I finished and put the glass in the sink. Then I walked back to bed. I pulled the blankets over me and cuddled into my bed. I slowly fell asleep hoping that the next time I woke, it would be later in the morning.

~ Killian ~

I glanced at the time, 5:55am. Wow! I looked back at the glass in my hand, I went back to cleaning it.

"Killian!" I heard my brother shout.

I turned to see him coming behind the bar. "Liam, calm down...I can handle behind the bar" I said as he stepped closer.

He shook his head, "I know that already! I need you to handle the entire bar tonight".

My eyes widened, "Why?! We made a deal! You have to have at least one other person there with me!".

He nodded, "I know, I know!...I'm sorry, but I actually have something to do tonight...and there is no way I'm cancelling!". I was about to argue but I stopped when I saw my brother's face turn a bit red.

I smirked, "What's going on?". He laughed, "You know me too well, brother...I'm proposing to Elizabeth tonight".

I smiled, "That's great!".

He nodded, "Well that depends on her answer".

I slapped my hand in the air, "It'll be ok, I'm sure she'll say yes".

He shrugged, "I guess I'll find out". I smiled at him and he laughed.

"So," he stopped laughing "Your ok with this?". I nodded, "Why wouldn't I be?".

He sighed, "Well, it's always been the two of us...you know, since mom and dad died...I don't want you to feel over crowded or replaced, since Elizabeth wou-". "No!" I said cutting him off, "We'd be expanding our family...I'd love for you guys to get married!".

He smiled and hugged me. "Thank you, Killian" he said then pulled back. I nodded, "I can take over the bar".

He smiled, "Thanks! And you won't be completely alone, you'll have Michael!". I nodded and watched him smile and leave.

Michael, a.k.a Mike, was our bouncer. He handles our "troublemakers". I continued to clean the glasses. But soon I started to feel tired, a nap wouldn't hurt.

I walked over to the door and flipped the "closed" sign. Then I went to the apartment upstairs and fell on my bed. I grabbed my phone and set an alarm for 9:30am.

Then I dropped and fell asleep.
