~ Emma ~
I felt light touches along my jawline. I chuckled and opened my eyes. Those touches were kisses. I pulled Killian's face away from me and smiled at him.
"Good morning" he said in a cheery tone.
"Good morning" I replied.
We got up and headed to work. As we walked in I noticed Milah was already working. I did not like Milah at all, at least not after I heard she flirted with my boyfriend.
I put an apron on, grabbed a tray and waited at the bar. Killian got ready and waited for Milah to return with new orders. I stared at her as she took the order of our only customer at the moment. I wanted to punch her right in the face.
"Love?"
I turned to Killian. He smiled, "I know what you're thinking, it's a bad idea".
I fully turned around and leaned against the counter, "She annoys me". He nodded, "She annoys me too! But she hasn't done anything wrong yet".
"She hasn't done anything wrong?! Killian, she flirted with you!" I said as I raised my voice a little.
"I know but I don't care about what intentions she has with me, I just care about what happens between us...promise me you won't do anything stupid?" he said with concern in his eyes.
I nodded, "Ok...I promise not to do anything stupid". He smiled and we got back to work.
---------------
I walked up to a table and smiled at the customer. He was a tall man with brown hair and blue eyes.
"What can I get you?" I asked.
"A tall glass of you" he said with a grin and a laugh.
I rolled my eyes, "How about you just order before I kick you in the-".
"Emma!"
I froze and slowly turned to Liam. I smiled and he waved me over. I sighed and dropped my tray on the bar. Killian watched as I walked to Liam's office and closed the door.
Liam sat down in his chair and I sat down in another chair across from him. I sighed and waited for his rant that I knew was coming.
"Emma, we've talked about how you are expected to treat our customers" he said as he played with a pen.
I nodded, "I'm sorry, I just can't handle it when they make comments like that!".
He chuckled, "Well you are pretty, you're gonna have to get used to it".
I rolled my eyes, "I was just sticking up for myself".
He nodded, "And I agree with that 100%, I just don't agree with your methods".
I stood up, "How about I agree not to do it again and I will get back to work?". He nodded so I left.
Milah was standing right outside the door. I froze and stared at her. Had she heard the whole conversation? She stood there and kept her grin.
"What?" I asked in confusion.
She shrugged, "I didn't know you had attitude problems".
I rolled my eyes, "I'm not in the mood". With that, I pushed past her and grabbed my tray off of the counter. Unfortunately, she followed me.
"Are you often moody?" She asked with a chuckle.
I stopped walking and turned to her, "Pick up your tray and get orders!". She chuckled and walked away. I rolled my eyes and continued serving.

After work, Killian and I decided to go to the beach. We usually go once in a while. We sit in the sun and splash in the water.
My favourite part is when we play SEE-a-shell! It's a really fun game we invented for when we visit the beach. We have to collect as many "decent quality" seashells in two minutes. Killian usually wins the most but it's still a really fun game to play, even if it sounds boring.
I picked up another shell and examined it. I studied it to make sure it was ok to add. I decided it was good and put it in my plastic bag.
"Emma!" Killian called out.
I turned to him. He was holding up a seashell. I walked over and smiled, "What is it?".
He held it out to me, "It's a lobster shell...they say you can hear the ocean through it".
I chuckled and took it from him. I looked at it. "Wow" I said as I kept looking. I held it up to my ear. I waited and listened.
"I can hear something!" I said with much more excitement than intended.
He laughed, "I say it wins the whole competition!".
I shook my head, "It beats them all!". He laughed and we counted with our game.

We finally got back to Emma's apartment. We were covered in sand because of all the sand castles we made.
"How about a shower?" I suggested.
She looked at me and chuckled, "Sure".
I smirked, "Together?".
She nodded and we went to the bathroom. We undressed and hopped into the shower.
