He Approves

~ Killian ~

I woke up the next morning and started making breakfast. Liam and Elizabeth walked out of the room smiling. "That smells good!" Elizabeth said as she sat down. I nodded, "It's almost ready!". I finished making the food and set it out on the plates. I picked them up and placed them in front of everyone. Liam smiled, "Looks delicious". I smiled and sat down with them.

"There's something I need to tell you" I said and they both looked up. "What is it?" Liam asked concerned. I sighed, "Last night...Emma and I...we kissed".

Liam's jaw dropped. I sat there waiting for their reactions. Elizabeth smiled, "Oh my god! That's amazing!". I shrugged, "Is it?". She nodded, "Well you like her, right?". I nodded, "But we kissed, does that mean we are together now?". Liam shrugged, "That's for you to ask her".

I nodded, "I just don't know how she feels about it". Elizabeth chuckled, "You men are so worried about asking us that you don't even realize that your stopping yourself from asking!".

I sighed, "I just don't want to screw things up, she's already been through enough". Liam nodded, "I think you guys should just take a leap of faith...if you waste your time worrying about making things perfect, your going to miss out on the chance to be together". I smiled, "Yeah, I think you're right". We all went back to eating.

My brother was the best person to turn to in times like these, he always knew what to say.

I finished eating and got ready to meet Emma. Luckily today was the one day the bar was closed. I quickly got ready and left my house. I drove straight to Emma's.

~ Emma ~

I woke up and started getting ready -brushing my teeth, brushing my hair, etc.- After I was "awake", I went to eat breakfast. I was in the middle of eating when I heard a knock on my door. I looked up at the door. Who was at my door at 8:45 in the morning?

I got up and went to open the door. Killian smiled as soon as he saw me appear from behind the door. I smiled back, "Hey! What are you doing here?". He sighed, "Can I come in?". I nodded and moved aside. He followed me into the kitchen and sat down at the table with me. "Want anything to eat?" I offered. He shook his head, "I just wanted to talk to you...about recent events". I nodded, "What about it?". He shrugged, "Well, it meant something to me, I was wondering if it meant something to you".

I froze and processed everything. Did it mean something? Well, yes. It meant a lot of things for me, more than I could probably explain.

"Yeah, it did" I said and started to eat again. He smiled, "Does this mean we are, um, you know...a couple?". I nodded, "Yeah". His smile grew which made me smile. Then there was an awkward silence. Neither of us knew what to say or how to act. I think that's because none of us wanted to screw up.

"Since we are offically a couple, there's something I need to ask you" he said smiling. I chcukled, "Shoot".

He sighed, "I was wondering if you'd accompany me to my brothers wedding...I don't have a date and I don't want to show up without one". I laughed and nodded, "I'd love to!". He stood up, "Great! I have to go help a friend fix his car with Liam, do you want me to ask if you can hangout with Elizabeth?". I nodded and stood up with him, "I think I can do the asking myself though". He chuckled and we headed to Liam's.

"Are Liam and Elizabeth going to live together once thier married?" I asked. "Yeah, they are looking for appartments nearby...I'll have the whole appartment above the bar to myself" He replied keeping his eyes on the road. I nodded, "Is that going to be weird? I mean, it's been just the two of you for a very long time". He shrugged, "I consider Elizabeth part of the family now...she makes Liam happy and that's all that really matters". I nodded, taking all the information in.

We reached the bar and headed to the appartment. We opened the doors to find Liam and Elizabeth cuddled up on the couch watching TV. They smiled and paused the TV. "Hey!" Liam said and patted the seat beside him on the couch. I smiled nervously and sat beside him, he wrapped his arm around me. "I hear you and my little brother are dating" he said smiling. I nodded.

He chuckled, "I don't need to give you the talk about treating him right, do I?". I shook my head. "Liam!-" Killian started but Liam interrupted him. "And I assume your dad will have the talk with him?". My smile faded. He noticed that and sighed, "Your parents died?". I shook my head, "My parents abandoned me". He sighed, "I'm sorry to hear that...but don't worry, I'd be more than happy to have that talk with him...us Jones men respect women". I chuckled and felt my smile returning, "Thanks". He nodded and turned to Killian.

Killian sighed and stood up, "Would you mind if Emma stayed with Elizabeth?". Liam shook his head, "I'm ok with it," he turned to Elizabeth "You okay with that?". She nodded, "I'd love the company!". Elizabeth got up and sat beside me, she wrapped her arms around me like Liam had done. I smiled and she chuckled. Liam stood up and grabbed his jacket, he walked back over to Elizabeth and kissed her. "I'll be back later, I love you" he said smiling. Elizabeth blushed, "I love you too". Then they left.

Elizabeth sighed in awe then turned to me, "You like romance movies?". I chuckled, "I think I'm in one".

~ Killian ~

I laughed as Liam violently turned the corner. "Calm down" he said but kept his eyes on the road. I shrugged, "I'm not worried". He smiled, "I approve". I turned over to him in confusion, "You approve of dangerous driving?!". He shook his head and laughed, "No! Never!...I insist you don't copy my driving...I was talking about Emma, I like her".

I smiled, "Good...your all I need approval from". He nodded, "I'm guessing you don't need to get approved?". I shrugged, "Well she has this close friend named Ruby, I think she might wanna give me a talk...and maybe a few threats". "We only do it to protect you" he said laughing. I nodded. He sighed, "Now, I'm doing this for Emma and for yourself...I want you to take care of her, which means respect her as well...I don't wanna find her upset because of you...and I'm not kidding, Killian Jones, I will smack you". I chuckled, "Message recieved".

"Thank you" I said after we finished laughing. He chuckled, "For what?". "How well you've handled our relationship...I know it can't be easy and you just accepted her and welcomed her...and you did what I shall do forever, you protected her...I can't thank you enough for that". He shrugged, "Of course...she's part of this family now, even if you guys aren't married". I smiled, "I think I want to marry her, eventually". He smiled, "Then I can't wait to see it". I chuckled, "Speaking of weddings, you'll be married soon". He nodded, "Aye".

"What does it feel like?" I asked. He shrugged, "Like I'm moving forward, like I'm taking the next step in my life...it feels amazing...but it also feels like I'm taking a responsibility". I nodded, "Your not doubting this, are you?". He shook his head, "No! I love Elizabeth and I definitely do not doubt my choice to marry her and I'm sure I won't regret thid decision". I smiled, "As long as your happy". He nodded, "I am". Then I looked at the road ahead.

"Funny, huh?" Liam asked after a while. I chuckled, "What?". "Ten years ago, I never  would've seen myself getting married and you getting a girlfriend...I never would've thought we would have a family with more than two members". I nodded, "I never thought I would have someone care for me". We pulled up to the house and got out of the car.
