"Karin, just focus on winning the championships for now." Karin nodded. She wrapped her arm around his body. She gave off a shiver as she fell asleep. It wasn't long until the championships to begin.

Many people had been avoiding Karin. She was just too stressed about the championships. Every captain understood what she was going through. They all felt that if they didn't do well, they wouldn't be suited as a captain.

Shuhei had avoided her the most, she had screamed at him to leave her alone. For 3 days now he had not went to the office when Karin was there. He knew she was just stressed about what the championships and everyone knowing she had a boyfriend.

Karin sat on top off the Sokyoku. She watched as the sun began to set. She sat on the edge, kicking her legs as she sat. She was soon joined by her zanpaktou.

"You know, last year before the games. You sat on the hill and looked at the sunset." He said as he looked at the sun.

"Yeah, well, as you know there is something about a sunset that always makes me feel at ease." Karin swirled her legs round pushing them against the pillar. Her back resting on her swords'.

"Karin, you ready for the championships?" Karin didn't say anything, she simply stood up.

"You should know the answer to that." Karin smiled then jumped off the post.

Karin had woken up in a great mood. She went on her morning run at 8 in the morning. She was to occupied to do any of the paperwork. She had got to the school with all her gear. It was a Saturday so she had no school that day. She could just focus on the championships. There was quite a turn out for the championships. There was many supporters for the school. There were even reporters covering the massive event. She could see that her friends were just arriving.

Karin was walking with a tired Jinta. Even though we was not competing in the kendo match. The team was obligated to watch and support the team.

"Come on, Jinta. Walk faster." Karin said as she pulled on his dead body.

"You got me up early." He complained.

"It was 10 when I woke you up."

"On Saturday morning." He said as they both walked into the hall.

Karin was greeted by all her friends, who came bounding up to the pair.

"Captain, how are you?" Karin laughed at them trying to be friendly.

"I'm stressed and tired, thanks for asking." They were taking back by her response. "No I'm joking I'm just stressed." She ruffled their hair. Karin looked around the room to see their competitors we already there.

"Man they look terrifying." Karin nodded.

"They are actually a strong team. Their captain is the best in Ikebukuro." Every first year shivered. "Hey don't worry about it. Your captain, is very strong as well." Karin said as she looked at the team. They were busy warming up for the match.

"Come on guys, lets get changed." Karin heard Airi say behind her. The girls and boys split up into the respectable changing rooms.

Karin headed out with all her friends. She could hear the crowd cheering for the Karakura team. Karin looked up to see her brother, Toshiro, Rukia and Shuhei smiling at her. Karin nodded to them, not wanting to create a scene. Karin took a seat last. She watched as the other team made their entrance. The Karakura supporters booing as they went on. Some of the males waved their hands as some applauded them.

"Karakura High School Vs Rida Academy. Up first is Rin Nara vs Kiba Ariakawa." Rin stepped up and bowed. She bent her knees and took a defensive position.
