Chapter 12

Yet another beautiful day at home and I couldn't be any happier. I got up to the sweet hum of my mom who was going through my drawers.

"Mom, what are you doing?" I frowned.

"I just realised that you need to get new clothes."

"I don't think so."

"How long are you gonna put up with this nerdy act of yours?"

"Mom, this is the new me. Deal with it!"

"And why did this 'new me' come up?"

"It happened for a reason, mom."

She smiled, "I tried doing something stupid like this back in my high school as well. I isolated myself, stopped going to school and even planned on moving. But you know what happened?"

"What?"

"Your dad brought me back," she smiled to herself, "he said that if I do something stupid like this the next time, umm...." she thought for a while. What the hell!? She is trying to remember what he said? Wait! Is she really telling this happened or is she making things up? She giggled, "he said that this would never happen again. That he will always be by my side no matter what happens."

Aww... That's so sweet! But hey Jean! You don't have someone as nice as your dad with you right now!

"So?" I crossed my arms across my chest. I had to be a bitch now!

"We go buy some clothes!"

"That makes no sense!"

"Why?"

"Mom, you know what? I have some work out there and I really need to go."

And with this I got out of my house in the car and zoomed off the road.

Mom really makes no sense at all sometimes. I know that she is trying to get the old me back in her own weird ways, but hey! Not gonna happen! I know that she was quite stubborn, but hello! I am her daughter here!

I drove around the streets for sometime, well, until the time that I thought was required for mom to forget about the clothes and then went home.

I found a sexy black porsche parked in our driveway and I squealed in excitement. I ran into the hall hoping that it should be them. Oh, how wonderful would that be?

"Hey you brat!" I heard the booming voice and I snapped my head in that direction in fraction of a second.

"Uncle Luke!" I ran to him, straight into his wide stretched arms and he lift me into the air, twirling me.

Oh god, I love this man! He is one heck of a guy. Uncle Luke is mom's elder brother who is the second best person in my life after dad.

I squealed like a little girl after recieving her best christmas present and he put me down. I giggled and hugged him, squeezing him with all my might.

"You have gotten all grown up cutsie!" he ruffled my hair, "how are you?"

"Never better uncle Luke!" I grinned like a chesire cat.

"Alice, she looks just perfect to me. Why did you do all the complaining for?" uncle asked mom.

She conplained about me to uncle Luke? Is she serious?

Pathetic.

I looked down at myself and realised that I was in my old avatar. Skinny jeans, checked button up shirt with rolled sleeves, black and purple converse and my loose hair with good smoky eyes and lip gloss. Of course uncle Luke didn't spot any difference!
