Chapter 33
"Where are we going?" I asked as soon as I got into his car.
"Surprise, Scarlett," he smirked.
"Oh, come on, Ian! It is not like we are on a real date anyway!" I rolled my eyes. His eyes narrowed and his grip on the steering wheel tightened.
"Get this one thing in your head, nice and clear. I wasn't kidding with Alice when I told her that I would take you out on a date. I wanted to do it. Oh hell, I don't even care if we are friends, Scarlett, but if you are on a date with me, I'm gonna make you thoroughly enjoy it, as a date," he finished. "Get that?"
I nodded like a scaredy cat and he grinned.
Why is my heart beating so fast?
Where did my Ian go?
Where did this dominating, super hot hunk, who was getting me on the edge, come from?
After his clarification, this felt like a real date and the utterly handsome boy sitting beside me with his dark hair falling over his eyes was no longer my best friend, but my date!
"Here we are," he smiled as he pulled over at the parking. In front of me, stood the grand stadium in which a basket ball match was going on.
"What the hell! I always wanted to watch them live!" I squealed holding Ian's hands. "This is the best date, Ian!"
He smiled and patted my head. "Let's go?"
"Yeah!" I fist pumped and hurried in.
The game was fabulous! The dunks and the 3 pointers were perfect! I was screaming my lungs out until the very end of the game. Alright! This is the best date ever!
The game ended soon and slowly the crowd began to leave. I sighed in content and leaned back in my chair.
"Cool game, huh?" he smiled.
"Perfect!" I sighed, "wish I could meet the players!"
"Oh yeah! Come on, then!"
"Whoa! What the hell?" I jerked back.
"I am serious, Scarlett," he frowned at me.
"Ian, they are professionals and I am this novice! I can't meet them!"
"Oh, please! I know how much of a novice you are," he rolled his eyes, "you played for the states in the middle school, Scarlett."
"Yeah, those were the days. I used to kick your butt!" I smirked.
"Oh, you didn't!"
"Yes, I did!"
"Didn't!"
"Did!"
"Didn't!"
"Did!"
"You know what? Let's settle this once and for all. Let's play right now and see who kicks whose butt," Ian said.
"Now?" my eyes widened and the next thing I saw was, we were in the middle of the court, arguing in between the two teams who were relaxing.
Oh, shit!
"Seems like a good idea to us," my favourite player said.
"What?" My eyes nearly popped out of my sockets. "Oh my god! You are actually talking to me!" I squealed and the boys in the team whistled at my fuming face as Ian smirked.
"Guess I am," he shrugged. "I will be your referee and the game will be for 5 minutes. The one who scores the most, wins!"
I am being refereed by my favourite player against my best friend who is right now on a date with me?
