Chapter 31
Whoa! Why the hell does my head hurt so bad?
I opened my eyes to see an apologetic Ray Cunningham, offering me a helpless smile.
Where am I?
I got up and sat right, nursing my head and looked around.
I see my house! Ah! Home sweet home!
I looked back at Ray confused. What am I doing sleeping in his car, in front my house and most importantly, why the hell does my head hurt so bad?
I need answers and see them all in the boy who has been staring at me intently from the moment I woke up.
"Care to explain anything?" I asked.
"You got drunk with wine and threw up on a woman while dancing with me and pushed me away from you and my falling resulted in the break up of a new couple. The woman on whom you threw up, pushed you onto the floor and you passed out. Hmm, I guess that is it," he replied.
"Oh, okay," I frowned, the incidents slowly reeling back to me. Now that I have already thrown up whatever I drank, my stomach was absolutely empty and was screaming at me to feed it.And I mean, literally. I could practically hear my stomach growl with hunger. And let me add, I am a voracious eater, thanks to all my basketball practices. Come on! I will faint on court if I don't feed myself well!
"I managed all the mess and carried you back to the car. And yeah, if you were wondering, I didn't attempt to try anything funny with you," he smirked and I rechecked myself. Now, I cannot believe a smirking player, can I?
"Ah! That was so gentlemanly of you, Ray," I placed my palm on my chest, smirking sarcastically.
"Always am," he matched my smirk.
"So, I guess this will be the end of our first date?" I asked, getting out of his car and straightening my super wrinkled dress. Anyone would believe that I had a super make out session with Ray by the way I was looking right now, getting out of his car.
He chuckled, "yeah. The best date ever!" he fist pumped in the air.
Was he kidding me?
"What?"
"Yeah! I mean it! All the dates that my parents set me up to were so damn boring. We would have food and then the girl would flirt with me and I would eventually get bored of her wannabe nature. But you, Jean, you were so different! I mean, who ends the date throwing up and getting knocked out of conciousness and even splitting a new couple? You totally shook that boring restaurant up!" he laughed. "I had so much fun with a girl for the first time. We should do this again!"
"Again?" I looked like a deer stuck in head lights.
"Don't worry, I will choose the place this time and I swear that you will be concious till you get home," he smirked.
"Yeah, right. Sure," I rolled my eyes.
He laughed, "I will take my leave now, Jean. Good bye."
"Bye, Ray," I said and he sped off the road. I slowly walked towards my house when my cell phone beeped.
I looked into the text.
From Ian: Are you the creepy lady standing outside in your driveway that I see?
I laughed at his text. He can make me smile anywhere at anytime! Even when I look like disaster after the stupid date.
To Ian: Are you stalking me?
I looked around to see where Ian was hidden but found him nowhere.
From Ian: I am your guardian angel. Don't try to find me coz you never can. Do you wanna go out?
