All The Love He Does Not Know

Chapter 13: Aliyah

It had been months since Freya died and although time had passed I still thought about her all the time and people were right it did get easier but not much. Nate and I have been together since then secretly though after he broke up with his girlfriend but we haven't told anybody it felt wrong us being together after what had happened to Freya.

Nate and I sat on the lounge playing his video game as I rapidly clicked the buttons beating him in the game. I threw my arms up in the air the with the game controller in my hands which hit Nate on the head.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to."
There was a small part of me that felt bad for him but most of me though it was funny and I smiled trying not to let him see.
"Are you laughing?"
"No I'm so sorry it was just so funny."
"Don't be sorry, I haven't seen you smile like that in a really long time."
"Maybe it's just your funny looking face that does the trick." I giggled.
Nate looked at me in shock then the two of us started to laugh as he began to tickle me.
"That hurts."
I screamed laughing out loud as I possibly could even though I enjoyed it.
"Come on you know you like it."
"Maybe."
Everything stopped as I pulled my shirt down which had come up from the squirming to escape his tickling.
"I really have missed you being happy you deserve to smile and people love seeing it."
"No they don't it's a horrible smile it probably scares them."
"Not me I think it's amazing and it makes you even more beautiful."
"Really?"
"Really!"
Nate leant in for a kiss as I closed my eyes. Many thought raced through my head but only one stood out the most. That I loved him it was clear now and I always secretly had. We sat up straight on the couch as Nate's mum walked into the lounge room with a bunch of papers in her hand.
"What are those?" Nate asked.
"College applications." She replied quickly.
"Isn't it a bit early to be thinking about that?"
"Your already 16."
"That's plenty of time still 2 more years of school before college."
"It's never to early to be thinking about your future, you wanna be a doctor don't you?"
"Yes but-"
"Then start filling these out."
"Ok."
"Your brothers college is in the pile somewhere."
"He's training to be a lawyer like you and Dad not a doctor."
"They have heaps of courses there just have a read of the pamphlets then you can decide."
"Can we get back to our game now?"
"Only if you've done your homework."
"I have Mum."
"Ok then have fun."
"Bye Mum."
As soon as Nate's Mum had left I turned to him with a huge smirk on my face.
"What are you smiling about?"
"Your a Mamas boy."
"No I'm not."
"If you say so Mamas boy."
"My brother is the favourite one I'm just the back up kid."
"Tane's at college so now she's chosen you."
"I guess that's how it works."
"Not at my house."
The two of us laughed as Nate handed me the game controller back.
"Where were we?"
