Chapter 27: Nate

My parents stared at me in shock as my Dad began to rage and shout at me. I knew they would have done this that's why I hadn't told them.
"What were you thinking? Are you stupid or something? Do you want to throw away your future?"
"Dad I didn't mean for it to happen it was an accident."
"You need to let her go."
"I'm not just gonna abandon her I love her."
"Your 17 you don't know what love is your just a stupid kid."
"I'm gonna support her."
"No your not your gonna go to college you've been studying to be a doctor for years you can't just give that up for a girl and her mistake."
"Our mistake, our babies we can handle it."
My mother caught what I had said and wasn't impressed.
"Babies?"
"Yes twins."
"Oh this just keeps getting better and better."
"Why does it bother you's so much?"
"Because we want you to have a good career."
"I still can."
"No you can't not with two babies and a teenage girl they aren't gonna help you reach that they'll just drag you down."
"Then help me and I can do both."
"No it's your responsibility."
"Then I'm gonna go look for a job and don't complain that I'm not a successful doctor."
I heard my mum shout as I stormed off over to the stairs.
"Nate you can't just walk away were talking to you."
"Talking? More like yelling."
"We just want what's best for you."
"No you want what's best for you too have perfect children."
"Maybe Tane will live up to your expectations."
