Chapter 52: Aliyah

I was about to put the twins down for a nap when I heard the door. I was about to walk down stairs to answer it when Lexi entered my room.
"You let yourself in?"
"Yeah sorry I didn't know if you heard the door."
"What do you want?"
"Ali please just let me explain."
"No I don't want to hear it just leave I'm busy."
"Please just give me a chance to speak."
"You had a chance you were suppose to be my best friend and you hurt me."
"I know, I never wanted to it was a huge mistake and I hate that everything we had is ruined because of it."
"Then why did you do it?"
"We were both upset at the thought of loosing you and we both wanted something to take our minds off it."
"So you had sex?"
"No we had wine and it just happened."
"Ok."
"Is that all your gonna say?"
"There's nothing else too say."
"I'm really sorry Ali you can hate me forever and never speak to me again if you want but please forgive Nate I don't want your family to be ruined because of my stupid mistake."
I looked down at the twins and turned my back to Lexi.
"You can leave now I need to put the twins down for their nap."
"I understand."
"Bye."
"Bye and thank you for hearing me out."

I stood in the kitchen and took one of tablets the doctors had prescribed me and washed it down with water as my head continued to pound.
I placed my cup in the sink and walked into the lounge room to find Reed and Luna attempting to climb up the stairs.
"What are you two munchkins doing?"
Luna smiled at me and Reed began to giggle as I grabbed them both and carried them up stairs. I laid them down on the bed and cuddled up next to them.
"Mummy is just gonna have a little nap."
"Mamma?."
I heard Reed say softly.
"Yes but you and your sister better go to sleep as well its your nap time too because daddy isn't here."
"Dadda!"
"No baby no Daddy tonight but maybe you'll see him soon."
I closed my eyes and yawned part of me couldn't stop thinking about Nate and Lexi but the other part was exhausted. I yawned once again causing my eyes to water. I cleared my head trying not to think anymore and found myself drifting off to sleep.

I woke up less then an hour later with my head pounding even worse then it was before. I placed the twins in their cots and then walked down stairs holding onto the rail as I did. My head was spinning as I reached for another glass and then filled it with water in the sink. I took another tablet tilting my head back. I heard the twins crying up stairs and began to head towards them but I couldn't make it out of the kitchen. I fell the the ground in pain as I clenched my head which felt like it was about to burst. I tried to scream out for help but I knew nobody was home.
