Chapter 20: Aliyah

Lexi sat next to me on my bed and she immediately became suspicious of why I had been so quiet the past few days.
"Ali is everything ok? you said there was an emergency."
"I don't know how to say it."
"You can tell me anything."
I crossed my arms over my stomach.
"You'll judge me."
"I would never just be honest."
I let out a sigh.
"I'm pregnant."
"Pregnant? What?"
"It gets better."
"Better?"
"Twins."
"Oh my god Ali, what are you gonna do?"
"I don't know yet I just needed to tell somebody I only found out yesterday."
"Who's the Father?"
"That's not important."
"It must be if your pregnant I didn't even know you were seeing anybody."
"I'm not, well not anymore."
"Who is he?"
"You have to promise not to tell anybody."
"Is it that bad?"
"It's Nate."
Lexi stared at me in shock her eyes bulging.
"Nate!"
"Yes it was just one time we broke it of after that cause we didn't want to ruin our friendship."
"I think you's are way passed friendship now you's are gonna have two babies to look after ."
"No I am he doesn't need to know about them."
"How are you suppose to keep this a secret?"
"I won't show till the end of term and then it's the Christmas holidays."
"Maybe you should just tell him it'll make it so much easier."
"No I can't and you can't tell him either you have to promise me."
"I promise and I'm here for you if you need me, I'm pretty good with kids."
"Cool you can be my free babysitter then."
"Free? I didn't say anything about free."
"You will because you love me."
The two of us laughed as we sat back on the bed.
"Alright then."
