All The Love He Does Not Know

Chapter 18: Aliyah

I woke up in the morning and raced down stairs into the kitchen where I stood looking for something that I could eat before school. I opened the fridge and grabbed an apple from the bottom draw and sat at the table and began to eat it. Suddenly I felt dizzy like I was about to vomit. I raced over to the kitchen sink and threw up mostly water since I hadn't eaten breakfast yet. I turned on the sink as I stood with my hand over my mouth and my mum walked in the room at that moment to see me.
"Ali are you ok?"
"I don't know I just threw up."
"Do you have a temperature?"
"I don't think so."
"Maybe you should stay home today."
"You never let me stay home from school."
"I do if your sick, now go back to bed and rest."
"Ok Mum."
"I'll bring you up some tablets in a minute."
"Thanks."

After days of being sick and tired I sat at my desk on my laptop as I typed in my symptoms. Vomiting, Tiredness, Cramping. I waited as it searched the results and almost cried at the top result. Pregnancy signs and symptoms. I entered the browser and read the summary reading the symptoms list and checking them off in my head. Missed period yes, tiredness yes, nausea and vomiting yes. My heart sank it couldn't be right there had to be another reason. I grabbed my purse and began to walk down to the closest shop. When I got there I began to search the aisles for a pregnancy test box which I found moments later and grabbed from the shelf. I didn't make eye contact with the lady as she scanned it to afraid of the look I would most likely get.
"That's $11.55."
I handed her a $20 note and she gave me my change which I chucked in the bag racing for the door.
"Thank you."
I left the store and began to head back home walking as fast as I could eager to find out what the result would be.

When I arrived home I raced up stairs hiding the plastic bag and its contents under my arm. I opened the box and pulled out the small stick that was inside and placed it aside as I read the instructions which were pretty simple. Pink plus sign equals positive and blue minus sign equals negative.
I held the stick in my hand as I began to wait and those 3 minutes that I needed to wait felt like hours passing by as slow as possible. I looked at my phone 4:45pm it was time. The result was in I looked down to see the outcome. It was blue a blue minus symbol it's negative. A wave of relief passed through me as I began to pack up my stuff shoving it all back inside of the plastic bag. The test was negative which meant I wasn't pregnant but then why had I been having all those symptoms lately?
