Chapter 42: Aliyah

I slowly walked through the corridor texting my mum and checking up on the twins again. I opened her message to see a picture of Luna and Reed laying together and smiled at how beautiful they looked. Suddenly my phone flew out of my hand landing on the floor. I turned around to see Caitlyn standing behind me with an enraged look on her face.
"Caitlyn?"
"Scared are you?"
"What do you want?"
"I want you to keep your mouth shut."
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't play dumb I know you sent Nate."
"Nate?"
"Yeah he came up to me and told me to stay away from you or else and I don't like people telling me what to do."
"I didn't tell him to do that I swear."
Caitlyn pushed me against the lockers and picked up my phone.
"Cute kids it'd be a shame if something happened to them or their mother."
"Leave them out of this."
"Ok,"
Caitlyn shoved my phone into my hand.
"I'll be back for you later see you around and you better watch your back."
I raced through the crowd in the hall with tears running down my face until I found Nate standing alone near his locker.
"Did you talk to Caitlyn?"
"Ali wha.."
"No!..,"
I shouted at Nate interrupting him and stopping him from speaking.
"Don't change the subject just answer the question, did you talk to her?"
"Yes,"
I shook my head in anger and began to walk away when Nate grabbed my arm.
"Ali wait."
"Why? Just let me go."
"I'm sorry ok I just needed her to know that I didn't want her messing with my family."
"Family? Families trust each other and don't go behind theirs backs."
"I know it was wrong but I needed to do it."
"No! You didn't need to do it you could have just listened to me."
"Ali what did she say to you?"
"It doesn't matter."
I stormed off away from Nate into the toilets and fell to the floor. She's never gonna leave me alone now. I sat in the school toilets crying with my head in my lap when I heard footsteps. I started to dry my tears I didn't want anyone to see me like this. I was about to get up when I saw Lexi walk in and sit down next to me.
"Hey you ok?"
"Not really but saying yes would probably be easier."
"It doesn't keeping everything bottled up inside just makes it worse."
"Did Nate tell you told what happened?"
"Yeah he called me he wanted me to make sure you were ok even though he knew you weren't."
"I just wish he did go behind my back."
"I know what he did was wrong but he was just looking out for you."
"It's made it worse though, now Caitlyn wants to hurt me."
"He didn't want that he just wanted you to be safe."
"I understand that but now I'm scared."
"Me too maybe you should talk to Nate?"
"Yeah I'll to him this afternoon after school."
"Are you gonna be ok to go back to class?"
"I just need to re do my make up now it's a total mess."
"Let me."
"Thank you.. For coming to find me."
"No worries I'd do anything for you."
