"Where have you been?" My mum called to me as soon as I stepped through the door. "I've been worried sick thinking something happened to you!"

I walked into the kitchen, where she was, and dumped my handbag onto the marble kitchen counter.

"I was with a friend, that's all." I said with a shrug, not wanting to go into unnecessary details about how I just had one of the best days of my entire life and the most amazing kiss that made all the past ones I had experienced seem incompatable.

"And in the time you were away you forgot how to use your phone?" She raised her eyebrows and smacked her hands on her hips. "You, Missy, should be in so much trouble, but I know you're not stupid enough to do crazy, barbaric things." And with that, she ended the conversation and proceeded to continue cooking.

"You just got back in time, the chicken casserole is practically ready. Go and tell your brother and sister, would you?"

"Sure," I replied, slipping upstairs to deliver the message. However, before returned downstairs, I threw my handbag on my bed and quickly turned my computer on. I then proceeded to add Carter on Facebook, coming to the conclusion that he must use it to spread word of his parties. Afterwards, I went downstairs and sat at the kitchen table with my family to eat our dinner.

"So, Angus, what have you been doing all day?" I asked.

He paused his eating, and turned to me with a broad, cheeky smile that oozed mischief.

"I've been playing with the new toys Mummy bought me!"

I raised my eyebrows at that, turning to my mum and asking if it was true. She just waved me off. "You know what he's like, Branwen. He's relentless."

"True," I agreed, then the conversation turned towards August.

"Well, I've been doing my art project all day," she said smugly, looking rather pleased with herself. "It's nearly done, I've just got to add some more definition to the clogs and it'll be complete."

"Are you drawing clocks, or something?" I asked, and she nodded.

"Yup, I'm using Big Ben as my inspiration, as well as a few other places."

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Angus drop a piece of chicken onto the table, so I quickly picked it up and put it back on his plate.

"NO! Why would you do that, Branwen? Now I can't eat my dinner!" He screamed, banging his fists down onto the table.

I was shocked, seeing no fault in what I had done.

"Branwen, what have you done?" My mum rubbed her temples, whilst my sister cursed.

"I only put the chicken back on his plate!" I exclaimed loudly over Angus' continued yelling, which was growing more irritating by the second.

"Why would you do that, Branwen?!" He screamed at me. "Now I have table germs on my food!" He then turned to our mum. "Mum, is it fine?" He asked hysterically, pushing himself away from the table. "Is it fine?"

My mum told him it was okay, then told him she could make him something else to eat if he wanted. At hearing this, he began to cry.

"But I wanted the chicken casserole!" He screamed, having a tantrum. "Branwen did that on purpose!"

I felt accused of deliberately upsetting him, so I snapped. "I only put your food back on your plate because you dropped it on the table, not the floor. It's fine to eat, look, I'll even eat it!" I grabbed the same piece and shoved it into my mouth. "See, nothing has happened to me, has it? I'm fine."

Despite proving the food was fine to eat, our mum told August and I to leave the table so he could calm down. We'd already finished eating, anyway. When we were climbing upstairs, my sister seemed to burst.

"I'm fucking sick of him doing that, he's such a big baby! I'm autistic, and I don't do that!" She waved her arms around.

I just shook my head, not in the mood to have her going daft on me, too. "He's got OCD, too, August. You don't."

"Well, he needs to get that sorted. I'm absolutely sick of his pathetic tantrums, over nothing!"

"Don't be so heartless," I defended Angus, "he can't help it, August, it's a mental disorder."

August released a frustrated sigh, before she stormed into her room and slammed her door. "I've just fucking had it!"

I rolled my eyes as I fell back onto my bed, trying to wrap my head around the scene that had just occurred. I thought what I had done was a harmless gesture, but I wasn't considerate of how Angus would see it. You never knew what could set him off. Whilst I hated the feeling of having to tip toe around my own family, I knew deep down it wasn't their own fault. I blew my hair out of my face, watching my blonde locks rise into the air and fall around me. Getting up, I took my mobile off my bedside table, where it had been charging, and sat down at my desk.
