I quickly walked into Susie's Smoothies, grabbed an apron, tied my hair back and got to work.

Normally I'd be quite chatty to my coworkers, but I was quite jittery because 1) I was pretty sure I was being stalked, and 2) River may or may not be about to tell me something crucial about Carter that I didn't know.

"Hi, can I take your order please?" I asked a girl who was shielding her face with the menu.

She took it down, then scoffed.

"Oh my god, I can't believe I'm being served by you."

Before, I used to just think "oh, here we go again. Leslie, the queen bitch." But now, I couldn't help but add on "and Carter's virginity taker." Great, just great.

"What would you like to order?" I plastered on a smile.

Then it occurred to me- what if she was the one stalking me?

I quickly took her order and made her smoothie, then as I was handing it to her I leant in.

"I know it's you, and you need to stop."

She gave me a funny look, taking her drink out of my hand. "I don't know what you're talking about."

I took the note out of my pocket and slammed it onto the counter. "This is what I'm talking about. Stop it."

She read it, her eyebrows scrunching together.

"Seriously? You're scared over that?" She flicked her hair over her shoulder and chuckled. "Just sounds like someone is trying to get your attention. I wonder if you've told Carter about this?" She bit her lip and raised an eyebrow.

My face went cold, which made her laugh.

"It would be such a shame if he were to find out you were keeping secrets from him...hmm, such a shame." She winked at me, then sauntered off.

God, what a bitch. She probably thought I was cheating on Carter now!

I walked around to the back room to calm down.

"Hey, Branwen?" One of my coworkers, Josh, asked me. "There's a party going on tonight and tomorrow night. You wanna come?"

He was quite cute- he had brown hair and brown eyes with some freckles across his nose. Nothing compared to my Carter, though.

"I don't know..." I said, pretty sure he was hitting on me.

"Well," he jotted something down on a piece of paper, then slipped it over to me. "Here's the address. Feel free to just turn up, and bring a friend if you want." He winked at me. "There's one every week."

I muttered a thanks to him, putting the paper in my pocket and walking back out to serve the rest of the customers.

My shift had just finished at 9pm, so I took off my apron and shot out to the car park. The sun was setting, which sent pink and orange streaks across the sky. It was really pretty, but I had a bad feeling it was about to be ruined by whatever River had to say.

I sat in my car and waited for him, until I saw his blue Audi turn up. I quickly got out and walked over to him.

"This better had be good." I mumbled to myself as I walked over to his car and leant against a brick building.

"I didn't expect you to turn up." I told him as he walked over to me.

"Well, here I am." He gestured around him. "You sure you want to hear this?"
