~Your POV~

When we got home, Larkin engulfed me in a hug and kept asking what happened. I had already told Juuzou, so they closed the investigation.

I smiled, seeing my family again. I missed them.

When Larkin let go, I went upstairs to go see Cosette. I smiled even wider and took her into my arms. I was so happy knowing she was okay.

Juuzou walked in and hugged me from behind. "Larkin and I have been taking care of her while you were away. Mostly Larkin, though."

I turned around, facing Juuzou. "Thank you."

"Your welcome! Plus, what kind of dad would I be if I couldn't take care of my kid?" He smiled widely, making me smile wider.

When we went to bed that night, I was kinda anxious about the next day, I was going to the doctors.

As I got out of bed the next day, I just dressed in some leggings and a t-shirt, and I left to the doctors. Larkin was going to stay with Cosette.

As I got into the taxi, I was terrified. I had been gaining some weight, but I wasn't concerned about that. All this sickness, losing weight, and the exhaustion, there was something certainly wrong.

I thanked the driver and paid him. I hurried into the doctors office.

~Le time skip~

I was super surprised at what the doctors told me. I was pregnant? But how? Juuzou said he couldn't have kids, and I haven't done anything with anyone else! In fact, it's not just one kid, its two, twins. It's a miracle, I guess?

I was scared to tell Juuzou, he probably would accuse me of cheating, but who wouldn't? If you think you can't have kids, and your liver got pregnant, of course you'd think they are cheating!

I was driven home by a taxi driver, and I dreaded Juuzou coming home. I love him, I do, but I was scared.

"So, what'd the doctor say?" Larkin asked, as he put his phone down. I noticed that ever since I got back, he's been on his phone a lot, and he was very smiley.

"The doctor said everything was okay." I didn't lie, the doctor did say everything was okay, with me and the babies. I was scared of having babies with Juuzou, ghoul-human babies just aren't a thing. My body would mistake the babies as a meal, and my body would digest the babies.

"Hmm, well, maybe it's just something that'll pass?" Larkin shrugged. "But, I gotta tell you something!" He smiled widely.

"What is it?"

"Well, there's this girl at my work, she's Irish! The girls name is Harmony, and I actually asked her out- she said yes!" He seemed excited.

I smiled widely and hugged him. "In happy for you. I'm glad you found someone you love. Let's hope she's a human. Cause a human and ghoul relationship, it has struggles."

"I think she's human! But she knows English and she moved up here on her 18th birthday! She's 18 now though, so she's only been here a couple months." His eyes lit up when he talked about her, he was in love.

"What does this 'Harmony' look like?" I wiggled my eyebrows.

"She's really cute! She only wears makeup occasionally. She has a kinda chubby face, with some acne marks from her teen years. She has long black hair with grey eyes. She's short, she's about 5ft, and I'm 6'3! She has a grunge-type fashion and she wears glasses, sometimes she'll wear contacts. But yeah, I'll bring her over sometime!"

Larkin and I continued to talk, until I heard the door open; Juuzou was home.

I but my lip hard as I saw him skip in the kitchen. "Hey, (Y/n)! What'd the doctor say? I was expecting you to call me after the doctors!"

I glanced over at Larkin, then back at Juuzou. "They said that everything is okay!"
