Sleepovers «Juuzou X Reader»

~Juuzous POV~

I sat in the waiting room, for what seemed like days. I couldn't take it anymore. I hated playing the waiting game.

It didn't seem that anyone had anything to say.

The doctor came out with a sour expression. "Mr. Suzuya?"

"That's me." I said so quietly, it was basically a whispered.

The doctor walked up to me, and he said. "This is never easy to say, but she isn't going to make it. The family can come inside and say their goodbyes. I'm sorry."

I stood up and we all hurried to the hospital room.

I saw her laying there, she was so pale and lifeless.

I got on my knees right beside her bed, and I held her hand. Her hands were cold and clammy.

I didn't even notice what the others were doing.

Shinohara got to come in, since he's my dad, that means (Y/n) is his daughter-in-law.

I lost it when I started talking. "(Y/n), I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry I wasn't there in time. Just as you were getting better, this happened. Yeah, I could tell you were upset all that time, and I tried so hard to make you happy." I sighed and stroked her hair. "You've always been so pretty. Even when you were asleep. Even when you thought you looked terrible. I hope that Cosette always looks like you. I hope that our children remember you, even the twins. I'm so sorry. Your dying, and your still so young, still in your twenties." I tried to wipe my tears away. I wanted to be strong. "Please, don't forget me or the children. I love you so much, and the children do too. They are at the house, I don't want them to see you like this, it'd break their hearts." I started to cry even harder as I said this last sentence. "I love you so much, and I've said all I needed to say. Please, stop the suffering, just let go. I don't want you to be in anymore pain." I gripped onto her hand tighter. "Just, let go."

And she did.

The macchine stopped beeping, and get heart stopped. Just a straight line across the screen.

All of us in the room started to cry the hardest we ever had. (Y/n)'s parents were both Hugging Larkin. I was hugging (Y/n) herself. Shinohara, he was crying too. It was odd to see such a big, tough looking man cry, but Shinohara was always soft towards his family.

I was hugging (Y/n)'s now lifeless body, trying to hold onto her for comfort. But, the love of my life was gone.

The nurses let us grieve, before taking her away.

As soon as they took her, I hugged Shinohara for comfort.

I didn't know what I was going to do without her. She was like.. super woman. She would work then come home to take care of the children.

I couldn't do that.

I had to stay at work all day.

I didn't know how I was going to take care of the family.
