Frodo found himself, lying down on his mattress, quietly reading a book that his Uncle Bilbo had given to him.
All of a sudden, he had heard a noise coming from the empty hallways of Bag End.
Frodo got off of his bed and went to search for the source of the mysterious sound. There was a small light illuminating the end of the hall. It came from Bilbo's study.
As he crept closer and closer to the room, the noise grew louder and louder.
"Bilbo? Uncle Bilbo? Are you in there?"
Frodo walked into the Study and found Bilbo quietly sobbing into his hands. "Bilbo? What happened?"
"Frodo." Bilbo whimpered.
"Bilbo, are you alright?" Asked Frodo, in a concerned voice
Frodo placed a hand on his shoulder and spoke softly into his ear. "I'm worried about you, Uncle. Tell me what's wrong?"

"I'm sorry, Frodo." Bilbo sniffled. "I was just....thinking about how....how..."
"How what?" Frodo whispered.
"How much of a selfish and horrible hobbit I am. I'm sorry, my boy. I'm sorry." Bilbo sobbed.
"Bilbo, you are not selfish. You are not horrible. Don't say things like that. I care about you and I love you, Uncle. I can't stand to see you like this."
Frodo put his arms protectively around Bilbo's shoulders. "Oh, Frodo. You don't have to worry about me. You should be more concerned about yourself." Bilbo wiped away some of the tears that were dripping down his wrinkled face.
"Would you like some nice, warm, relaxing tea to make you feel better?" Frodo asked the old hobbit. "That would be wonderful. Thank you, my dear boy. Thank you, Frodo."
"You don't have to thank me, Uncle." "Frodo."
"Yes, Bilbo?" Frodo smiled. "I'm glad that I took you in. I don't know what I would do without you."
"I don't know what I would do without you, either, Uncle."
Frodo leaned in close and kissed Bilbo softly on the temples on the side of his head and headed to the kitchen to put on a spot of tea.
When Bilbo was finished his tea, Frodo asked him if there was anything else that he needed from him. "No, thank you, Frodo."
"You look exhausted, Uncle. Let me take you to bed."
"Frodo, you don't have to do that. I think I can manage."
"Please."
"Oh, Alright. I suppose so. Come on, Lad."
After Frodo showed Bilbo to his room, he helped him get up onto his mattress and tucked him in, making sure that the old hobbit was comfortable enough.
Frodo gave him one more kiss on the forehead and headed off to his own bedroom, where he slept peacefully with a wide smile on his face.
