Chapter 19

I finally stopped to take my breath. I actually feel better when I run. What happened to me today is just...I don't know. I didn't expect that to happen. I wrapped my arms around my legs, closing them together and pulling them into me as I fell onto the ground, searching for my breath. I felt a hand grabbing me so that I could stand upright. I looked up to see Mason staring pleadingly at me while Nichole and Noura were next to him. "What now?" I started, widening my eyes at the three of them. "You want him?" I said as I got hold of Mason's hand and shouting at her. "He's all yours." I said as I pushed Mason into her. I didn't want to find solutions for any of my problems.

"Ann..." Mason started as he placed a hand on my face, moving towards me.

"Get off me." I shouted, cutting him off. "Don't ever call me again." I said as I ran away faster than ever before, not wanting to face anyone. While running away, I faced a car but I couldn't even stop running as pain rushed through me...

Mason's P.O.V

"Is she okay?" I asked the doctor as he came out of her room.

"Who are you?" The doctor asked, scanning me and the girls.

"Her boyfriend." I replied quickly as fear started to fill my body. Is she okay? That was all that I wanted to know right now.

"Are you her siblings?" The doctor asked as he moved towards Noura and Nichole. They nodded while he continued. "It was a serious accident and she has to have an operation now." My jaw dropped at the last few words. Tears filled my eyes for the first time in my life. I didn't to lose her because I really wanted her. She is the only girl I have ever trusted and loved. She is innocent, not like the others. Anne is different.

"Why?" I finally managed to say, my voice incoherent.

"I don't have time to explain anything." He said as he turned and I just sat on the waiting chair, praying to god that she'll be okay. I wish that she'll be fine. Someone called Rozan and she excused herself.

"Mason, you have to leave now." Rozan said as she came back. I couldn't answer her and just showed her the 'Why?' face. "Anne's parents know that she had an accident and they're coming here right now so you have to leave." She said, refusing to look at me.

"Rozan, why are you talking to me like that?"

"Because you are the reason why Anne is here." She shouted, pointing at the operating theatre. "And you, Nichole." She said, heading to Nichole, leaving me there. "Your cousin is here because of you. She couldn't handle that she hurt you while you didn't ever love Mason and you know that. Why do you want him now?" Rozan shouted as tears escaped her eyes. "You're jealous that Anne is pretty. Fine, she is prettier than me though she is my best friend. You shouldn't be that bad Nichole. You must forgive her because if you were in her place, you'd surely act the same." Rozan finished, her words filled with anger. She was right that I am the reason that Anne is now inside but it was not Nichole's fault.

"Leave now, Mason." Rozan said as she calmed herself down, making me turn and head to the elevator.

I was so stressed these past few days because I couldn't even see Anne when she is there in the hospital, crying for me. She didn't wake up since that day. Rozan call me every now and then to inform me about Anne. The doctors said she's in a comma and that it might take time for her to wake up. This is really hard for me, not being able to see Anne and not having her in my life.

I grabbed my mobile as a tear escaped my eyes to see who's calling.

"Yes, Boudy?" I said as I answered his call. He didn't call me at all these past few days and that's definitely because he was busy with handling all the business what with Anne being in a coma and all. I must be the first one there, next to Anne.

"Can you come to the Farabian Hospital now?" He said as his voice was lowered.

"Why?" I asked, pretending that I didn't know about anything. My heart rate increased too much whenever I thought about Anne. I need her in my life. Life is nothing to me without having Anne in it.

"Anne went through a coma and she hasn't woken up yet." Boudy said, crying. Boudy crying for Anne?

''Did she wake up?'' I asked Boudy as I saw him but he moved, his face giving me the 'No'. I searched for Anne's mom but I couldn't really see her.

''Where is Anne's mom?" I asked casually while Boudy's face grew so angry that it feared me even more.

"Busy working." He said it like he wanted to punch her as he waved his hand through the air as he growled.

"Can you stay with the girls while I go change? I didn't shower since that day." He said as he turned and left, not wanting to talk much. I turned towards the room in which Anne stayed and moved into it. Her eyes were closed and her messy hair flew loosely about her head. She was so pretty and seemed like a sleeping beauty and I wish I could wake her up with a kiss.

"Anne, I've missed you." I started as I placed my hand on hers, feeling the warmth of her skin. "I wouldn't ever hurt you. I missed making you happy when I touch you. I am so sorry that I couldn't run after you and save you." I cried, wanting her to hear my words. "I really love you, Anne." I said, my tears falling even faster. "Please wake up. I've missed you." I said pleadingly as I rested my head on her hand, crying while I felt her move her hand past mine. I quickly turned to see her eyes opening slowly. I stood up and hugged her so tightly she moaned from pain. I turned to tell the others but I saw Boudy standing there watching the whole scene. 'Shit' I thought to myself. Anne's eyes widened as she saw Boudy.
