Chapter 20

Annes P.O.V

"You two are together?" Boudy asked, his eyes widening with anger as he gave Mason a scary look. I couldnt answer because pain was killing me. I felt my body breaking into pieces. Mason didn't answer and instead moved towards Boudy and nodded while Boudy punched him in the face.

"Why Anne?" Boudy shouted, glaring at Mason. "Anne is nothing like you. She is...."

"She is better than me, I understand, but I want her." Mason said easily, cutting Boudy off.

"Anne will never be yours. At least you could've told me. You two were sharing this fucking secret and you didn't tell me. I thought that you would keep her safe Mason, not hurt her that way!" Boudy said as he calmed down a little bit. I calmed down too though, this seemed to be going well. So far anyway. "I thought that you two were just friends. It never crossed my mind that you could be together." Boudy said, giving us the 'unbelievable' look while Mason moved towards Boudy and looked straight into his eyes.

"Anne is my life. I swear I'll never hurt her." Mason said slowly, but Boudy only pushed him.

"Never say her name. Anne will never love anyone other than her last boyfriend." Boudy said. Mason's eyes was filled with pain and tears formed at the corners of his eyes. "Anne tried and tried. Billions of times. She c..."

"I love Mason." I said, cutting them off and ending the conversation.

"But An..."

"I know myself. I knew that I didn't love the others, but I love Mason." I said honestly, not wanting to hide it anymore. This should not be a big deal.

"He is ten years older than you, Anne. Wake up!" Boudy shouted.

"I'm okay with that. Get out of it." I replied quickly, not wanting to talk more.

"And your uncle?" He asked and I looked down. If my other uncle knew, he'd kill me and Mason. He will never accept Mason. "And your mom?" He asked and pain rushed through me. 'Where is she?'

"Where's mom?" I asked, while Mason turned, not wanting to deal with it.

"She is working, Anne. She has a presentation." Boudy answered slowly, not wanting to hurt me.

Tears fell down my cheeks as I tried to excuse her but there are really no excuses. I mean working when her daughter is in the hospital, not even caring if she is okay or not. I can't handle any more of her. Mason moved towards me, moving a hand through my hair as he looked down at me.

"She loves you." He said slowly. The words came out so harsh, as if it was not true.

"Get away from me. She never did." I pushed him away as I shouted again.

"Anne, can you calm down? You're sick." Boudy said but his words only made me grow even angrier.

"I'm sick of my mom." I shouted as I removed the solution's tube that was connected to my hand and stood up.

"What are you doing...?" Mason said as he grabbed my arms while I pushed him away so hard.

"Go away." I said as I grabbed my outfit and headed to the bathroom to change.

"What have you done?" Boudy said as I stepped inside with my clothes, not looking at him, turning to leave.

"Come with me you two." I said as I closed the door, not looking at them. As I stepped outside, Noura, Nichole stood up and scanned me while Rozan ran towards me.

"You're awake!'' She exclaimed happily as she hugged me tightly. A tear escaped my eyes as Rozan hugged me. I mean, they're all here for me except...my mom?

"What's wrong, Anne? Your tears weren't that easy to fall. You're being so sensitive lately." Rozan said, scanning me, waiting for answer but I didn't answer. Instead, I searched for the elevator when someone called me. I turned to see Nichole standing with her hands interlocked with someone else's that I couldn't recognize. Someone cute and hot. Just like Mason. He looked so alike to Mason.

"Yes?" I asked as I faced her, not wanting to talk to her but curious to know who the guy was.

"I am sorry, Anne. I didn't really love Mason but you did." She said, giving me an apologizing look. I didn't bother to acknowledge her statement.

"Who's that?" I asked as I waved my hand, pointing to the guy next to her.

"Mason's brother." She said, looking at him like he was some sort of god or something.

"You're together?" I asked.

"Nope." The guy said as he popped the 'P' "Logan." He introduced, offering me his hands to shake but I didn't as I left them and moved towards the elevator again.

I moved towards Mason's car and rested on it, waiting for them to come.

"Let's go." I said as Mason unlocked the car and I stepped into the back seat as Boudy took the passenger's seat.

"Where do you want to go?" Mason asked as they both got seated.

"My mom's." I snapped as I looked out the window, watching the buildings as the car moved along.

"Are you sure you want to see her now?" Boudy asked as we pulled into my mom's company. I didn't answer as I stepped out of the car and walked towards the company when a security personnel crossed me.

"What? Can't I see my mom?" I shouted as I moved his hand away and stepped inside. I didn't knock the door and just enetered. As I saw her, my jaw dropped! She was working away happily, not even thinking about me. She slowly turned to face me.

"You're awake now?" She asked, not caring about me at all, just searching in her stack of papers.

"That's how you greet me after it."

"You deserve it. I told you not to go to that party." She said as she moved past me and left. As the door shut close, I fell to the ground as I cried my heart out. Why don't I have a mom that cares? That loves me? Why did she bring me to life then? I want to live with dad right now. I don't care if they're seperated or whatever. I want to live with my dad. He is so much better than her.

The door opened as I moved my head to see Mason and Boudy running towards me.

"Anne, I'm okay with you and Mason being together." Boudy said as he gave me a smile. "I trust Mason and he loves you." I stood up as I forced a smile. I am so happy and glad that Boudy understood the whole thing. "Mason explained everything and after all what you did is wrong but I accept it." I smiled as I hugged Boudy.

"Thank you." I said as a tear escaped my eyes but I swiped it away. I didn't want to remember what my mom had just done to me.

"Now my turn." Mason said as he watched us. I laughed, knowing what he meant but I decided it was better to act dumb.

"Your turn?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I need a hug." He said while I laughed even more.

"Need?" I asked as I moved towards him, flirting shamelessly.

"I missed you." He said as he moved his hand so that it was wrapped around my waist with me grabbing me into him.

"Hey. Don't go too far guys." Boudy interrupted after we had spent more than five minutes flirting in front of him.

"There's a problem." Boudy started while I started panicking. I don't want to handle any more problems right now.

"You two guys have to keep this secret for one whole year. Until Anne reaches eighteen. Your mom and uncle will not accept it if they knew. Your uncle might kill Mason and get him out of the company. And you? I don't really know what he might do to you." Boudy said, grabbing out attention. My tears fell rapidly down my cheeks and I refused to look at them both. My uncle is going to physically kill us both. He is always so strict, never like Boudy but really strict.
