Cinder kept the bookmark exactly where she'd found it in the book, the exact page that Peeta was shocked in the "Hunger Games : Catching Fire."
She was asleep before Lilliana and Violet returned.

The next day, Cinder went to their first class before her team. Their first class was Battle Strategies and Tactics. As she pushed the heavy wooden door open, she looked for her seat an apology already on the tip of her tongue. She sat down and awaited for Flint's arrival, watching the door with almost eagerness.
But he didn't come to their first class. Nor did he come to their second, third, fourth, and last class. He had disappeared, and Cinder was the reason why.
"Maybe he's sick." Violet said at lunch. Lillianna looked at the purple haired girl, then shook her head.
"Even if he was sick he'd still come. That's just how he is." Lillianna looked at Cinder questioningly.
"Do you have any idea?" Lillianna asked her, her eyes questioning Cinder's eyes.
"No, I don't know why." Cinder lied. She could see it in Lillianna's eyes, see that she already knew.
"Bullshit." Lillianna said, slamming her tray down on the table and gaining the attention of people around them.
"What? Lillianna, calm down." Violet said, getting out of her seat and patting Lillianna's back in a soothing manner.
"I'm done. I lost my appetite." Lillianna said with an aggressive tone. She got up, dumped her tray, then walked briskly out of the lunchroom, leaving Violet and Cinder alone with many disdainful looks.
"Did something happen? Something you guys aren't tell me?" Violet asked, the same questioningl look in her eyes as Lillianna had earlier.
Right then and there, Cinder told her everything. She confided in Violet, who listened intently.
"Ms.Fall?" Asked a female teacher, the name "Ms.Shane" printed on her name card.
"Yes?" Cinder asked, her beautiful amber eyes scanning the female's face, looking for any sign of emotion in her blank face.
