chapter 22- New people

Stormy's pov

"So this is why you haven't been answering my phone calls" I heard Mya's voice.

I tossed and turned in the bed before I fully woke myself up. I sat up and looked around, seeing mya standing in front of me and king wasn't in the bed next to me.

"What time is it?" I asked yawning.

"1 in the afternoon" She said making me do a double take and reach for my phone. true enough it was 1 in the afternoon.

"You and king must have had a really good night if you waking up this late" Mya laughed. "You missed school and everything"

"I didn't even mean to sleep that late" I said still feeling a little bit tired.

"Tell me that's your Ferrari outside" Mya said excited.

"Yea king bought it for me" I said. "Did you see him when you came up here?" I asked. Then I thought, why is she here. "And why aren't you at school?"

"King is downstairs in his office with J and chris and I didn't go to school today either so I thought why not make my boyfriend bring me over here and see my bestfriend so we can have a fun day today"

"How are you and J by the way" I asked going to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

The last time I talked to her she told me how J told her that the girl at the cookout was lying and he hasn't been with her since he got with mya. Then she told me they fought a little then ended up having sex.

"We are good. Couldn't be better" She followed me to the bathroom but stayed in the doorway and leaned against it.

I started to brush my teeth and seen mya just standing there. once I was done I rinsed my mouth out and washed my face. drying my face off I seen mya laughing to herself.

"What's so funny?"

"You have a hickey on your neck girl" She showed me where it was. I looked at it in the mirror and it was some what purple.

"Fucking king" I mumbled.

"Well you guys are wild and you waking up in one of his shirts" Mya hummed. "Yea yall some freaks"

Looking at it again, I just decided to cover it up with makeup. Mya left and waited for me downstairs. I took a shower and got ready. when I was done I went downstairs and seen Mya talking to lilly in the kitchen.

"And I said no billy because he wasn't listening so I had to hit him with the shovel" I heard lilly telling her story. she done told this story a million times about how she had to hit billy because he tried to rob her niece pet turtle back in Vietnam.

"Ok lilly I get it, You had to hit him. Thank you for telling me" Mya rolled her eyes. I laughed and signaled her to come into the living room.

"Lilly is something elese" She huffed and sat down on the couch.

"She sure is but get up. I have to go tell king im leaving" I pulled her off of the couch and walked to king's office.

King's pov

"So this is stormy's mom" J asked looking at the picture. I had my private investigator do some work for me and got some more information about stormy's mom.

"Yup and I think imma pay her a visit"

"You really think she connected to something?" J asked.

"I wanna know why she was parked outside of the trap"

"She probably still a crackhead who left my bestfriend for dead" Chris mumbled. He was sitting on the chair that was in my home office.

"Whatever she is, I wanna know what's up with her" I said grabbing the file back from J.
