|Kaylah POV|
I walked out of the hospital with Stacy, I finally got my cast off. Stacy drove me. She wants to be a nurse in her words "get the feel of my future workspace." She'd make a great nurse in my opinion.
We hopped into Stacy's red 2015 Ford F1-50.
She started driving to my house.
"How was that?" I asked her.
"That was so cool! I loved it! Thank you for bringing me along Kaylah!" She squealed
I smiled at her
"How's your arm?" She asked
"A little sore.. And pale." I said with a frown
She laughed "that's natural. You'll be good soon."
/ten minutes time skip/
"Thank you for driving me, Stace!" I said getting out of her truck.
"No problem! It was educational. Ciao babe!" She called from the driver's seat.
I walked through the gold front doors and turned to wave at Stacy before she drove off. She waved back and shifted gears to drive, off she goes.
I sighed and closed the door.
"Josh!" I yelled
No answer. Isn't that surprising?
I walked up to my room. I started to charge my phone on my night table. I dropped my purse on the floor by my bed and pulled out my laptop from a shelf on the wall. I laid on my bed positioned my laptop in front of me and clicked the open Netflix tab.
Hmmm what to watch? Doctor who? Or Ouat.. Supernatural. I thought with a grin
I clicked on Supernatural and scrolled to season one. I'm just re watching when it was less sad and dramatic.
Episode one plays on the screen for about 5 minutes before I hear a knock at the door. I frowned and pressed pause.
They better have a good reason interrupting hunky college Sammy.
I slid down the railing with a grin and landed with both feet planted firmly on the ground and my arms spread like an eagle. I smiled bigger now that I finally landed it.
I opened the door slowly to be face to..chest with Miles? My breath hitched in my throat to see him there.
Shit.
"H-hi." I said quietly
"Hey." He replied
"Josh isn't here right now. I don't know when he'll be back, sorry." I said and tried to close the door.
Only he was quicker and stuck his foot in between the good and the door frame then pushed it open.
Double shit.
I looked up to see a smirk on his gorgeous face.
"I didn't come to see Josh."
I looked at him puzzled. There's only me and Josh here. Mom lives in NYC.. Maybe he- oh shit he means me. I realized.
"W-why did you come to s-see me?" I said afraid. Shit he's probably gonna murder me. Hopefully it will be quick.
He moved his hand to caress my cheek but I flinched back. Sadness and disappointment flashed across his eyes. He looked down and let his hand drop.
"Can I come in?" He asked even though he was already in the entry way.
I nodded and he took off his shoes seeing I wasn't wearing any either.
He looked at my cast-less arm and smiled.
"You finally got that bloody thing off didn't you?"
I smiled up at him and nodded my head.
----------------
It's been three hours since Miles came to the house and since then they've ordered a pizza talked some more about childhood memories old and new hobbies. Apparently Miles started boxing at age 13.
Now they sit side by side cuddling up together on the couch with popcorn and a blanket. Her head on his shoulder, his arm draped around her shoulders. She sighed in content with the contact they had constantly as they were on the couch.
"Hey.." Miles said suddenly.
"Yeah?" I asked looking up at him.
"You're beautiful." He blurted
I stared at him with wide eyes, my mouth in the form of and 'o'. I finally gathered my words enough to say, "I'm not beautiful." I blushed slightly.
"Of course you are." He said
"No, I'm not. I'm not even pretty." I said back sitting up.
He pulled me back down by my wrist my face centimetres away from his. My wide eyes locked with his blue ones. We stayed like this for a few seconds before he finally said,
"Let me show you how beautiful you are then."
He smashed his lips with mine. I finally got over the shock and slowly started kissing him back. It wasn't fierce or fast, it was slow and passionate. Our lips moved in sync together like that's where they always belonged. We continued like this until someone cleared their throat angrily. Miles and I separated like the Red Sea to look at fuming Josh.
Triple shit.
