Chapter 15

Simon's POV

    The next day...

      As much Nick irks me at times, I'm letting spend the day with Demi. I was going to back up, but Delilah asked me if we could do something. With everything the poor girl's going through, I decided providing with a day of joy would be the right thing to do. Demi will be there tomorrow and I'll see her then while Delilah's in school. After Delilah gets out of school, she can come up too. 

      Now you're probably wondering where I'm taking Delilah for the day. Why only to the most magical place on earth, DISNEYLAND! I only told her just a few minutes ago and she's been jumping up and down in her seat ever since. Gosh she's so adorable. I don't know how anyone couldn't fall in love with her. We pull into the entrance, park the car, and she jumps out when I let her out of the seat. We get out tickets and enter the park. The first thing Delilah asks to do is meet all the princesses. I laugh as she tugs me from place to place for photo ops with the princesses. This includes Rapunzel, Belle, Tiana, Mulan, Merida, and many more. Don't ask me how I know all the Disney princesses. It's just what happens when you have a little girl. 

        I love watching her interactions with each and everyone of them. I make sure to record every single one. Our families will love to see them along with Demi if she's up for it. I think she'd be up for seeing them. Along with the princesses, she meets some other characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Peter Pan. Peter Pan was by far the best. The kid who plays him is sensational and really enjoys what he does. It's nice to see a person who loves their job. Like you don't know how rare that is in today's society. 

          We also make sure to ride a few rides, eat amazing pizza, and get ice cream. Delilah looks at me while rainbow sherbert ice cream drips down her mouth. I laugh and wipe it off. "Daddy, thank you for Disneyland!" I hug her. "Anything you for you sweetie. The day's not over yet though. Let's have some more fun." We throw our trash away and continue to do several other things in the park. 

 That night...

      Delilah and I watch the Festival of Lights Parade with all the characters and floats lit up followed by the Forever Fireworks show. She falls asleep right after the fireworks show. Since she's small enough, I'm able to carry her back to the car. I let her sleep the whole ride home. She's still asleep as I place her into bed. I unload her things and go watch some TV a bit before heading to bed myself. I smile to myself, relishing in how great of a day Delilah and I had together.
