Chapter 39
Simon's POV
The next day...
Demi's been trying to put on a brave face, but I can tell that having to be rid of Nick is killing her. She was pissed at me for a little while though. After about an hour of storming around the house, she finally realized that I was only looking out for her and our family's safety. Before Nick left our house, he breaking at the seems. I'm just praying that he doesn't try to come here while Demi or I are at work, especially when I'm at work and she's home alone with Delilah. We also need to find a new babysitter for Delilah. I'm sure we could find one through care.com or something in the coming days.
Nick's POV
I've been sitting in my bedroom for nearly 24 hours now staring at the ceiling while absent mindingly binge eating junk food. Beside me, I also have bottles of pills and razor blades. I'm absolutely devastated over no longer having contact with my other half. She even blocked me on ever social media site, blocked my number, and Simon filed a restraining order that was served to me earlier today. Joe has been babysitting me to make sure I don't do anything stupid and Kevin has been calling me every twenty minutes to see if I'm still alive. It's been driving me nuts. A knock on the door snaps me out of my thoughts. Joe and Kevin come in. "Hey Nick. We don't want to leave you alone right now, but we want to do something nice for you. We're going to get you a cheese calzone from the Italian place at the corner. We'll back within twenty to twenty five minutes." I watch them leave the house and pull out of the driveway. Once I see that they are gone, I proceed with my plan.
I pick the largest blade from my collection and raise it my chest. I start off slowly but then go faster once I reach the area around my heart. The blood comes seeping out my cut. I look at it in panic before my eyes flutter close and I pass out from the extreme blood loss....
