9 years later...
" Li, did you see that Harry is having a reunion tour?" I ask. Liam and I were sitting on the couch in the living room. I had my legs across Liam's lap. Liam was reading a book, I was scrolling through my phone doing who knows what. Liam stops reading and looks at me.
" I know. He asked me if he should go back on tour and wants us to come see him one time." Liam says. I lower my phone and look at Liam.
" I forget you actually know him. Can we meet him again?" I say batting my eyelashes. Liam rolls his eyes and looks back at his book.
" Batting your eyelashes won't work on me." Liam says flipping his page.
" It works for our daughter and youngest son, why can't it work for me?" I say pouting my lip out.
" Because I've already given too much to you." Liam says. I put my face where his book is. I pout my lip out at him.
" Please Li?" I ask. Liam gives up.
" I can see what I can do." Liam says. I peck his lips.
" Thanks Li! You're a great husband!" I say.
" Yeah, yeah." Liam says," Now move so I can finish my book."
I look at what he's reading. It was a book that Liam would not be reading for himself. He probably was reading for Jason.
" Are you reading this book to help Jay?" I ask. Liam scoffs.
" Of course not. I read for myself." Liam says.
" My ass you do." I say.
" Okay fine. I'm reading it to help Jay. You know how he is with reading books." Liam says. I nod my head. Jason isn't the biggest reader in the family. I believe he just hasn't found the right book yet. The front door opens and closes. Someone scrambled upstairs and then they ran down the stairs.
" Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom!" My youngest son, Jason who is 11 years old, chants. He runs down the stairs. He trips along the way down and lands at the bottom.
" Oh my god, Jason, are you okay?" I say. Jason stands up.
" Yeah. But mom I have good news!" Jason says. He runs over to us. He starts jumping up and down in front of us.
" What's up Jay?" Liam asks.
" Harry is going back on tour! I want to go see him!" Jason says.
" Alright, Jay, let's calm down." I say.
" But mom! Harry is going back on tour! He's going to be in Chicago in the summer!" Jason says.
" Princess, we know. We might go see him when he comes to town." Liam says. Jason's mouth drops.
" Really? Oh my god daddy! This is going to be great!" Jason says.
" But you can only go when your grades are up." I say. Jason looks at me with his mouth dropped.
" No, mom, that's not fair!" Jason says.
" I think it's fair. Your grades are important." Liam says. Jason pouts just like when he was younger.
" I don't like that." Jason pouts.
" If you're having trouble in school, go to Luke or Kaylee for help. I'm sure they'll help you." I say.
" They're always busy though!" Jason says.
" You're their brother. They'll find time for you." I say. Jason plops down next to me on the couch. The front door opens and closes. I hear shuffling come from upstairs. It must be my two oldest children, Luke who is 18 years old, and Kaylee who is 16 years old.
