I really don't want to go home. I don't want to face Liam and tell him what has happened the past five years. I want to drop off the face of the earth.

But sadly, we were on the way back home. Ben was driving because I don't think I could. I look at the passing land as kid music was playing in the background.

" Mommy, how much longer?" Luke asks from behind me.

" Only a couple more hours. But its getting late, you need to sleep to have plenty of energy tomorrow at school." I say.

" Mommy, I don't want to go to school." Luke says.

" Why not munchkin?" I ask

" Because it no fun." Luke says. I turn around in my chair so I can fully look at him.

" Why isn't it fun? School at your age should be fun." I say. Luke frowns.

" Boys make fun of me." Luke says. I get concerned quickly.

" How do they make fun of you?" I ask.

" They have daddies, and I don't. They tell me I'm stupid because I don't have a daddy." Luke says.

" That is not cool Luke. I have to teach those boys a lesson about making fun of my Luke." Ben says joining in on the conversation.

" No, Ben, we aren't going to hurt them. Tomorrow, I'm going to come into school and talk about it to your teacher. Where do they tell you those things?" I say.

" In the classroom, sometimes on the playground." Luke says.

" Luke, this is not okay. Why didn't you tell me before?" I say.

" Because I was scared." Luke says getting tears in his eyes. I place my hand on his thigh.

" It will be okay, munchkin. I'll make sure they stop." I say. Luke nods his head. I blow a kiss to him.

" You know mommy loves you." I say. Luke catches the kiss I blew with his hands. He puts his hands to his lips.

" Munchkin loves mommy too." Luke says. I smile.

" That's my Lukey." I say. Luke smiles. I turn back around and face forward.

" Damn, wouldn't you think the teacher would stop them?" I ask Ben.

" Of course not. She's a first grade teacher. She probably doesn't even know how to handle the kids." Ben says.

" I don't know, but I'm stopping it. No one calls my munchkin stupid without me doing something about it." I say.

" I love your mom mode." Ben says. I roll my eyes.

" Mommy, why was Uncle Louis and Aunt Paige in our room last night?" Luke asks.

" Because us adults needed an adult talk." I say.

" But why were you talking about daddy?" Luke asks.

" I thought you were asleep before and after you got your water?" I ask.

" I couldn't sleep because I had a dream where daddy was waiting for us at home and I spent the whole day with him and I gave him lots of kisses and he told me he would never leave me again and I got really excited." Luke says.

" That seems like quite the dream, there Luke." Ben says.

" It is Uncle Ben." Luke says.

" Alright, be quiet Lukey. Kaylee is sleeping." I say.

" Mommy, you didn't answer my question." Luke says.

" What was your question munchkin?" I ask.

" Why were you and Uncle Louis and Aunt Paige and Uncle Ben talking about daddy?" Luke asks. I look at Ben. I give him a look asking if I should tell him about Liam. Ben shrugs his shoulders. I roll my eyes. Ben is no help at all.
