chapter twenty five

" Liam! Will you watch you're driving please? Jason is in the car!" I scold at Liam. Liam and I were on our way home from the hospital for the first time with Jason. And it wasn't going too well.

" Millie, I'm being extra cautious. Please don't yell at me like that." Liam says.

" Then don't drive so reckless with Jason in the car. He hasn't even been a week old and you're already trying to kill him." I say.

" I want to say something different, but you're going to yell at me even more so I'm not going to say anything." Liam says taking a left turn.

" It's probably better that way." I say. Liam eventually pulls into our neighborhood and pulls onto our street. He pulls into our driveway and stops the car. He looks back at me sitting next to Jason, which he is in his little car seat.

" Did Jason make it back alive?" Liam asks obviously being sarcastic.

" I don't know, why don't you ask your youngest son?" I say. Liam rolls his eyes and looks at Jason in his car seat.

" He looks fine by me. Let's get inside." Liam says.

" I'm going, I'm going. Calm yourself." I say. Liam gets out of the car and walks to the door behind the drivers seat. He opens the door and picks up the overnight bag. I get out of the car and take Jason's car seat with me. He was fast asleep in his car seat. I smile down at him as I step out of the car.

" Welcome to your new home Jason." I say. Liam walks around the car so he can stand next to me. Together we walk to the front door. Liam opens the door for me and I step inside. Liam follows me inside. I slip my shoes off and place Jason's car seat on the ground. I take Jason out of his car seat and hold him in my arms.

" Welcome home cupcake." I say kissing his forehead.

" Mummy and daddy are home!" I hear Kaylee yell from downstairs. I hear footsteps run up ths stairs and Luke, Kaylee, and Louis show up to where Liam and I are standing. They run to me and start trying to look at Jason in my arms. Louis takes Jason out of my arms. He looks down at Luke and Kaylee.

" Let's go play with Jason downstairs!" Louis says. Luke and Kaylee nod their heads. Louis quickly walks out of the room and down the stairs. I look at Liam.

" We haven't even been home for five minutes and Louis already stole my child." I say.

" That's Louis for you though." Liam says. I nod my head. I walk downstairs to find Louis sitting on the couch with Jason in his arms and Luke and Kaylee were looking at Jason in Louis's arms. I walk right up to him and took Jason out of Louis's arms. The three of them look at me and start whining.

" Mommy, we were looking at Jason!"

" Mummy, you no do that!"

" Millie, how dare you take my little cupcake out of my arms without my permission."

" Jason needs to stay upstairs for now. He does not need to be around all of this noise right now." I say.

" We were being quiet for him!" Louis says.

" Louis, listen to Millie!" Liam calls from upstairs.

" I am an adult, I can make my own decisions." Louis says. I roll my eyes.

" Well, I am too, and I'm taking my son upstairs." I say.

" Can I help mommy?" Luke asks.

" Sure you can Lukey." I say.

" Me help too mummy!" Kaylee says.

" Not today Kay. You can help me with Jason next time, okay peanut?" I say. Kaylee frowns, but nods her head. Louis wraps her in a big hug.
