" Bye babies! Have a good day at school! I love you!" I shout to Luke and Kaylee. They wave to me as they board the bus. The bus leaves and I walk back to the house. I walk into the house to hear a giggling Jason. I walk to the kitchen where the giggling is coming from. Liam had a giggling Jason on his lap.
" Wow, you got him to giggle around you." I say. Liam rolls his eyes.
" You can shut up. Jason has always loved me." Liam says.
" Yeah, especially when he cries around you." I say.
" I guess we aren't having sex tonight." Liam says.
" Good because I didn't want to have sex tonight anyway." I say. Liam starts pouting. I walk over to him and kiss the top of his head. I sit down in the seat next to him. Jason looked at me and put his arms out towards me. I pick him up and make him stand up on my lap.
" Hello my little cupcake. Were you good for daddy?" I say in a baby voice. Jason giggles. I smile and blow a raspberry on his cheek. He continued to giggle. I place Jason on my lap and looked at Liam.
" No customers today?" I ask.
" Nope. Not even Sophia." Liam says.
" Weird because she books like twice a week." I say.
" Shut up. She gets us money." Liam says. I quiet down. I kinda miss working at my job. Staying at home made me realize that doing nothing is actually really boring.
" Mill, what's wrong?" Liam asks placing a hand on my leg.
" When do you think I should get back to my job?" I ask looking up at him.
" I don't know. Maybe until Jason's a little older." Liam says.
" But he's already three months! My job needs me. If you don't remember, it's called Espinosa Ads and there's not an Espinosa running the place." I say.
" Babe, I understand. I get it. But I think Jason needs you more than your job right now." Liam says. I shake my head. Liam will never understand that I need to be there for my job. Sure, they're grown adults capable of running a business, but it's my father's business. He left me in charge. I look at the time on the microwave. I hand Jason to Liam. Liam looks at me weird.
" What are you doing?" Liam asks.
" I'm meeting Chase at the coffee shop in town." I say.
" Wait, the Chase that got me arrested?" Liam asks.
" I still haven't forgived him for that. But yes, that Chase." I say.
" Why are you hanging out with him?" Liam asks.
" When have you become my mother?" I ask.
" I just want you to be careful." Liam says.
" I know what I'm doing." I say. I walk out of the kitchen and slip my shoes on. I slip on a sweatshirt of Liam's and grab the car keys. I open the door and walk out of the house. I unlock the car and get in. I start the car and pull out of the driveway. I start driving towards town.
I eventually pulled into the coffee shop parking lot. I park my car and get out of the car. I walk into the coffee shop. I look around to see if I can see Chase. I found him in a booth with two cups of coffee and he was looking down at his phone. I walk over to him and sit down in the opposite seat. He looked up from his phone once I sat down and smiled.
" Hi Millie. I got you coffee. It's what you like. Or used to like." Chase says handing me the second cup of coffee.
" I still like my French Vanilla. Chase, you didn't have to get me coffee. I could've done it myself." I say.
