My dad went home with Skylar and I refused to go home. I stayed in the waiting room and waited for someone to tell me something. I was scared and I was thinking everything that could have happened. I sat alone in the waiting room without any energy. I was exhausted and I didn't even look or touch my phone. I just sat and stared blankly in the waiting room were being taken in and out of it. I was sitting there for a good two hours before Andys nurse came out and went over to me.
"Is he okay?" I asked and she sat down next to me.
"He had surgery." She said and I looked at her.
"What?!" I asked.
"It was an emergency surgery. He's okay, but he's going to be here for a little longer and won't be able to leave today at all." She said and I shook my head.
"My husband. Andrew. Had surgery?" I asked and she nodded.
"On his head?" I asked and she nodded and I started crying.
"Is he okay?" I asked and she nodded.
"He's fine, he's awake." She said and I sniffled and nodded wiped underneath my eyes.
"What happened?" I asked.
"His concussion wasn't a concussion. He was bleeding and we caught it in time. It may not seem like it but the surgery is a faster healing time than a concussion would be. He's going to be okay now." She said and I nodded and she grabbed my hand and helped me up.
"You have no idea how much you're making me feel better." I chuckled and sniffled at the same time.
"No one told me." I said and she nodded.
"Someone was supposed to I'm sorry." She said leading me to a different room than the one he was in before and I walked into his room and he looked at me. He was so out of it and I started crying harder and he didn't even say anything to me. I sat down next to his bed and grabbed his hand and he had a bandage around his head.
"We didn't have to cut any of his hair so that's a good thing huh?" The nurse asked and it was sweet how she was making me feel better, but seeing him this way hurt even worse. I looked up at her and she nodded and walked out the room. I grabbed his hand and started crying harder but silently and he squeezed my hand.
"They didn't have to cut my hair." Andy could barely say and I kissed his hand.
"I love you." I said and he looked down at me and nodded. I smiled weakly and got up and kissed him softly. He was definitely not Andy. He was Andy, but he was not Andy if it made sense.
"You scared the hell out of me." I said and he brought his hand up to my face and wiped my tears away. He didn't say anything but the look his eyes I knew he wanted to say so much.
"I want you." He said and I smiled.
"I know." I chuckled and he shook his head.
"No Jasmine." He said.
"I want you. I want you for the rest of my life. I want you next to me every morning. Every night. I want your goodnight kiss, your good morning kiss. I want your love. I want your smile, I want-" he paused, he could barely talk from the anesthesia and he swallowed.
"You." He said and I smiled weakly and kissed him again.
"You have me." I said and he kissed me again as I hovered over him. He put his hand on my belly and rubbed it and smiled weakly.
"Riley." He said and I smiled and nodded.
"Our baby girl Riley." He said and I chuckled as I wiped more tears away.
"Skylar and Riley are going to have the boys all over them if they grow up to have your looks and I'm going to have to protect them." He said weakly and I smiled.
"You're such a good dad." I said and he looked at my lips and I kissed him again as I ran my fingers through his hair.
"I want to go home." He said and I nodded.
"Shh. It's okay I know baby." I sat and he grabbed my hand and pulled me down on him and wrapped his arms around me. He buried his face into my shoulder and I could feel my shirt getting damp from his tears.
"I'm scared." He said and I knew he was in pain because he was sitting up but he didn't care. He was holding me so tight and I rubbed his back as he held me.
"I'm so scared Jasmine." He said muffled into my shirt.
"I know, I am too." I said and he didn't say anything he just held me. My dad walked in the doorway and I looked up at him and he walked away. He knew Andy needed to just let some type of emotion out and it was the first he ever admitted he was scared to me. He pulled away from me and closed his eyes tightly and wiped them. He was trying to act like he wasnt crying but I knew he was.
"Did your dad come in?" He asked and I chuckled weakly and nodded as I wiped my tears away.
"How'd you know?" I asked.
"I felt you look up and you stopped rubbing my back." He said and I nodded.
"You're going to be okay." I said and he nodded. My dad knocked on the doorway and andy looked at him and nodded and he walked in.
"Where's Skylar?" Andy asked.
"Jens watching her." He said and we both just nodded.
"Andrew I told your parents." My dad sighed and Andy looked up at him and shrugged.
"They need to know." He mumbled and I held his hand. He looked drained, and for someone who just had brain surgery you would expect him to.
"Jasmine." He said.
"What's wrong?" I asked and he shook his head weakly.
"Nothing." He said. He squeezed my hand harder and I looked up at him.
"I love you." He said rubbing the back of my hand with his thumb and I nodded.
"I love you too." I said and he smiled weakly and buried his head deeper into the pillow and closed his eyes. He was exhausted but I didn't let go of his hand and he continued to rub my hand.
"I'm tired." He mumbled.
"Go to bed, you need to rest." I said and he nodded.
"I love you." He said.
"I love you too."
