Andy and I were on our way to the doctor. My dad was watching Skylar while we went. I wasn't weak anymore I just still didn't feel good. He didn't really say much to me and the car ride was quiet. I was looking down at my lap and he had his elbow resting against the window as he rested his head on his hand. We were at a red light and he put his hand on my thigh and took it off and I looked up at him. He didn't look at me he just started driving again and I looked out the window. Since yesterday he wasn't right and I didn't know what I did.
We pulled into the parking lot of the doctors office and he got out and opened my door for me and walked behind me. I stopped before we went in and I turned around and he almost ran into me because he was on his phone.
"What?" He asked looking up at me.
"Please just stop. I'm terrified and I really need you right now." I said and he nodded and I sighed and turned back around and he didn't say anything more when we went inside. We signed in and sat down next to each other and waited for a doctor to call us in. He was on his phone and I looked over at it and he was texting a girl named Samantha and I looked at him.
"Seriously?" I whispered and he looked up at me.
"What?" He asked.
"Who's Samantha?" I asked and he clenched his jaw and shook his head.
"My secretary. Stop." He whispered and I rolled my eyes.
"Jasmine." A nurse said and I smiled and got up and Andy followed behind me without even looking up from his phone. She brought us both into a room and took my blood pressure and all the regular things and told us the doctor would be with us soon. I was sitting on a examination table and he was siting in a chair still on his phone.
"Give me your phone." I said and he looked up at me.
"No." He said and I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because." He said.
"You're cheating on me?" I asked and he shook his head.
"No I'm not." He said and the doctor came in the door and I smiled weakly at him. Andy put his phone down and the doctor grabbed his chart.
"You're pregnant right?" He asked and I nodded and he smiled.
"Congrats, I'm sure you're both excited." He smiled and I nodded and glanced over at Andy and he just looked at me.
"So you haven't been feeling well?" He asked.
"Yesterday I was weak and I got sick and felt like I was going to faint. I feel better today but I still don't feel too well." I said and he nodded.
"Can you lay down for me?" He asked and I nodded and Andy got up and stood beside me. I laid down on the table and the doctor lifted my shirt up and felt around my belly to ask if anything hurt and It didn't. He put his stethoscope up to my belly and smiled.
"Well I can tell you one thing the baby has a strong heartbeat." He smiled and I smiled back.
"I told you." Andy said and rubbed the top of my hand and I smiled weakly at him. He let me sit back up and sat down infront of me.
"Sometimes morning sickness can actually make you feel like your sick and can last longer than normally, but you should be okay. You should be better quickly. Your body is just adjusting." He said and I nodded.
"I can understand why you were worried and that's perfectly normal." He smiled and I nodded.
"Thank you." I said and he nodded.
