The Assessment(part 3)

"Okay,so here we are.ShadowClan border.See what you can scent from here."Berrynose mewed.I closed my eyes.Today was my assessment.And if I pass this one,I'll be a full-fledged warrior.I zoned out my senses.

All of a sudden,a figure peeked out from the trees.It was a she-cat with a glossy brown pelt.The cat lifted her head and sniffed the air.I sniffed her out as well,and found out she was from RiverClan."Berrynose,I think there's a RiverClan cat over at the ShadowClan territory!"I exclaimed.My mentor looked on."What?I don't see any RiverClan cats around here."he whipped around.But there was a RiverClan cat around here somewhere."Let's go check it out."Berrynose told us."I don't think so.One paw over their border,we'll be caught.Good thing not a ShadowClan patrol has found us."Brackenfur mewed.I agreed.But just as we're about to leave..

"Not so fast,ThunderClan."a voice behind us said."And just as we thought we were the ones caught trespassing."Tigerheart snarled.Along with him is Tawnypelt,her apprentice Needlepaw,Wasptail and her apprentice,Strikepaw,Tigerheart's apprentice,Sleekpaw,and finally,Scorchfur and Blackpaw.

"Sorry about that.My apprentice claimed he saw a RiverClan cat on your territory,but when I looked on,I saw no one."Berrynose mewed,looking at me."Think twice.We never saw any RiverClan cat around here."Tigerheart looked at my mentor with an annoyed look."Maybe you're trying to spark another rumor so that our Clan and RiverClan could fight!"Blackpaw added.But I swear....wait a minute.

There's only one cat who could disappear like that.StarClan...why would they keep on showing up?"No,Berrynose's right.I must be seeing things."I muttered.Here goes my dreams of becoming a warrior.The ShadowClan apprentice huffed out with pride.But when I got a good look at him,his fur got drained by blood.The red stuff was also on his chest fur as well.His muzzle was also stained by blood as well.

"Over here!"a voice called out.It's that StarClan cat I saw earlier!But I can't take off that sight.Blackpaw getting drenched by blood,does this mean something terrible is going to happen and Blackpaw will be one of the causes?"Uh,Berrynose,I think I found some prey.I'll go get it."I lied.I ran to a lump of bracken where the brown she-cat was waiting.

"Couldn't get over that vision,could you?"the StarClan cat asked."Yeah.That's gonna happen,right?"I asked.Blackpaw's still an apprentice:maybe he'll behave differently when he becomes a warrior.

"I know what you're thinking.But Blackpaw's made up his mind.He will never change his mind."the she-cat spoke grimly."But there has to be!"I said dramatically."I'm sorry,but all we have to do is to stop him before he deals more damage.Trusting his father was damage enough."the StarClan cat told me."All you have to do now is plan your strategies ahead."

"Thanks..uh..I don't know your name yet."I shyly mewed,my tail swishing against the floor.The StarClan cat stood up with pride."I am Birchstar,ancient leader of RiverClan.I suggest you don't forget that name."she mewed with pride before she vanished.Her brown pelt just reminded me of Marzia's brown hair for some reason.I just miss her. A shrew came out of nowhere and I decided to catch it.

"Good thing that ShadowClan decided not to put up a fight."Brackenfur mewed.What a relief."Oh,you caught a fresh-kill without me noticing it.I guess you're good at hunting by yourself."my mentor praised me.A lot happened today.Birchstar's vision of Blackpaw's future,could it really happen?
