Part of the Flock- (Flock x Reader)

Introductions

You stood there, watching, as the other experiments went their separate ways, some slithering, some hobbling, most supporting others.

"Um, you can go now. You're free!" The brown haired girl said.

"Oh but Max," protested the smallest child. "they have wings just like us!"

"Yah!" Piped up the youngest boy. "I want an older sibling!"

"Oh am I not sufficient enough for you?" Max snapped.

"Well, you're more of a mom." Said the child with dark skin and poofy brown hair.

The youngest child walked up to you and looked you in the eyes. Suddenly you felt a lot calmer. She turned around to face Max. "Please Max. They need a family. And who better to do that than us?"

Max turned to look at the oldest boy, a black haired, dark eyed, brooding teenager...who shrugged. Max sighed and turned to look at the blonde haired, blued eyed boy. "Igg? What do you think?"

'Igg' turned to look at you, or, rather, look behind you? Maybe he was blind. "Sure, why not?" He said.

Having been out-voted, Max turned to look at you. "Can you fly?" She asked. You had been quiet throughout this whole session, now it was your turn to speak.

"What kind of question is that?" You asked, apparently forgetting that you were talking to the very people who saved you from the hell-hole that was crumbling behind you.

Igg chortled. "I like them!"

Max rolled her eyes. "I'm rolling my eyes, Iggy."

'So he is blind.' You think to yourself. You decide that you probably shouldn't be so snarky to your hero's. "Yes. I can fly. And thank you for rescuing me."

"How well can you fight?"

"I- not very well. Ive only had to dodge paintballs in there."

"Paintballs??" The youngest boy asked, excitement in his eyes. You decided to quickly sum up your day to day life in the labs and the kids listened, wide-eyed, when you mentioned the wolf-men.

"Erasers." Iggy said.

"Um. what?" You asked. And then Max filled you in on their lives. "Wait! So... you six are the bird kids that escaped??" You asked, awed.

"Ya. And we've been on the run ever since." Max said bitterly.

"I'm Angel!" The youngest kid declared.

"And I'm her brother, The Gasman! Or Gazzy, for short." Said the youngest boy.

"I'm Nudge. But sometimes I want to be Crystal, or sometimes a-" the dark skinned girl was cut off by Iggy. "And I'm Iggy. Sorry Nudge, but if I hadn't cut in, nobody else would have been able to introduce themselves."

"I'm Max. The leader of this whole gang. And this is Fang." She said, gesturing to the dark eyed boy beside her. "Don't expect him to say a lot."

"Whats your name?" Angel asked.

"Um..."

"You can choose your own name!" Angel said, seeming to read your mind.

"Oh! You look like an 'Alex', or maybe a 'Morgan' or-" Nudge was once again cut off by Iggy.

"Let them choose by themselves Nudge."

After a few minutes, you came to a decision. "(Y/n)"
