@NinjaOfMagic, congratulations! You won the contest!

Avian hybrid

Girl

Storm

 14

Short choppy ( like a pixie cut) red hair, grey eyes and glasses, usually wears a light purple sweater with pretty much everything. Has the power to generate electricity from her hands.

She has a childish optimism but she gets mad really easy.

Who am I? I'm not sure. All I know is that I'm safe now. The flock found me. They took me in, cared for me. I got to choose my own name, even. Storm.

"Yo Storm!" Gazzy called out to the young girl, sitting on the ground.

"Ya?" She replied, looking up from her book, pushing her glasses back up the bridge of her nose.

"You wanna help make this bomb?" The Gasman asked with a mischievous grin.

"Hm, I really don't think that's a good idea." Storm said as Gazzy cackled. Storm reached over to Gazzy and gave him a small shock on the arm with the tip of her finger. Gazzy yelped and leaped away and Storm laughed.

"Gazzy, honestly! That's the sixth explosive you've made! I think that's enough!" Max said as she walked over to see what the commotion was. "Where's Iggy?"

"Setting the bombs up around the perimeter." Gazzy said as he went back to work.

"We aren't staying here very long." Max reminded him.

"I know, but we got bored and 'you can never be too careful'." Gassy said, perfectly mimicking Max's voice from when she said those words of wisdom. Storm shuddered, still not used to Gazzy's vocal ability.

Max stuck her tongue out at Gazzy and he returned the gesture. All the sudden, an explosion vibrated the rocky ground and Storm dropped her book and jumped up. Max was already out the mouth of the cave and rocketing towards the crater in the Earth that the bomb had caused.

"Whoa that was a close one! I just barely got out of the way!" Iggy said, his hair swept back from the blast, hovering over the explosion site.

"Aw man! You wasted a perfectly good bomb!" Gazzy whined as the other flock members joined them.

"No I didn't. That blast took out three Dumb-bots!" Iggy said. "I don't know if there are more on the way so we might want to get ready to fight.

"Maybe there were just three." Storm suggested. "Good job taking them out Igg!"

Iggy bowed at the compliment and the flock scoped the area before flying to the ground. "Just watch where you step." Iggy warned.

Minutes passed before Iggy perked his head up and looked towards the horizon. "You hear that?" He asked. Everyone tensed up and listened. A low buzzing noise filled the air and, seconds after, a dark swarm blotted out the setting sun.

Fang whistled. "That's a lot of bots."

"Max?" Nudge asked uncertainly. There were a couple hundred swarming, flying, wolf-robots heading towards the flock.
